On Friday December 6th Barbara White and Mary-Anne Frith, along with 23 other local residents, were honoured to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal, hosted by MP Doug Shipley and MPP Doug Downey, of Barrie, Springwater, Oro, Medonte. In May 2023, to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, the Prime Minister announced the Government’s intention to award 30,000 Coronation Medals to those who have made significant contributions to country, a province, territory, region or community, or an achievement abroad that brings benefit or honour to Canada. Barb and Mary-Anne were recipients of this award not only for co-founding Ripple of Kindness, but also for their involvement in the community and their many other philanthropic endeavours. “We are so honoured and proud to be recognized in the community, and we wanted to share our award with our members, because Ripple would not be what it is without all of you”
