Last Thursday, I ran my monthly support workshop for unpaid carers at Carers First.
It was a much needed session, especially with Christmas approaching.
Over the past three weeks, I’ve spoken with many carers, including HR partners, business owners, and full-time employees who are or have been carers themselves.
💁When I asked, “What would have helped you during those tough times?” every one of them gave the same answer:
💁“A supportive group of carers who understand what I’m going through"
"A place to share, find emotional balance and avoid burnout. Instead, I had to deal with it on my own and it took a toll."
💁They all wanted workplace support.
This is why I created the 🦋Compassionate Care for Carers Method a monthly support for working carers.
These support groups are a lifeline, giving working carers a safe place to connect, recharge, and feel understood.
The sessions are changing lives by offering practical tools, emotional support, educational webinars, tips on balancing work and caregiving, workshops an so much more... all while helping carers build resilience.
Thriving carers are what I want to see.
🔉💁Why Should Businesses Care?
Investing in carer support programs isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s smart business.
💁Here’s what you’ll get:
✅ Higher employee retention
✅ Less loss in productivity
✅ More engaged and innovative employees
✅ A better brand reputation
When employees are engaged, they’re more motivated. Companies with highly engaged employees often perform 202% better than others.
🔉🙋♀️Be the Leader Others Admire
Last week, I celebrated TSB Bank for leading the way in supporting carers, and the results are clear.
Why not follow their example and become a company known for the same dedication?
Let’s turn this need into action and build workplaces where carers and businesses can thrive together.
