Is there only one best format for a fundraising message? I think so. This works for all fundraising communications from fundraising emails to your next case for support. 1.      Here’s the problem. 2.      Here’s the best solution and why we (your org) are the ones to deliver this solution. 3.      Here’s how you can help (call to action). This is the basic skeleton and there are some important additions you need to build onto it. 1.      The moral dimension – how will giving make the donor feel? People want to know that they are doing a good and kind thing – that donating is the right thing to do. 2.      Stories – evidence that your org is making a difference one person at a time. 3.      Trust – Evidence that donating to you is low-risk, that you will deliver on your promises.
