The ACF Regulation, closely aligned with the 2021 Advanced Clean Trucks regulation, mandates a gradual transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) where feasible. While this shift from traditional engines to ZEVs is necessary for a cleaner future, it presents challenges, particularly with the limited availability of charging stations as EV numbers on the road rapidly increase. The question remains: what’s the next solution? Could remote or wireless charging infrastructure be the key to overcoming this bottleneck and supporting the growing EV ecosystem?
Wow! I found this graph interesting from an article read this morning by Chris Brown with Bobit called, "6 Factors Affecting EV Fleet Adoption by State?" showing the number of EVs by each state. I was especially drawn to the State of Utah's placement in the top 10 relative to population.

42%. EV (electric vehicle) sales in the Southeast soared 42%, revving past the national average of 37%. There is a lot that goes into EV investment. On The Peggy Smedley Show, I talk about six indicators, including: 1. Manufacturing investments 2. Anticipated jobs 3. EV sales 4. Charging infrastructure deployment 5. Utility investments 6. Public funding We see here an ecosystem of players are key to ensure success. These alliances are supercharging this unprecedented electric vehicle success. What have you seen? What has stalled EVs in the past? What is needed to pick up speed and spark more momentum? https://lnkd.in/gw3-pqsQ Pamela Evette Loren McDonald Stan Cross Graham Stallings Jennifer Weiss Corey Clothier Patrick McGinnis

Sometimes, challenges emerge from unexpected sources. Axios highlighted a concerning trend: Los Angeles was labeled a "charging desert" due to limited public EV charging stations despite the city's significant EV presence. With nearly 588,000 registered EVs in L.A., accounting for 4.2% of all vehicles, the demand for accessible charging infrastructure is evident. In April alone, EVs constituted 21.5% of new car registrations in the city. Explore more on this issue: https://lnkd.in/gZ23QZA7 #EV #LosAngeles #ChargingDesert
