China makes 60% of world’s Christmas decorations. I often get asked what Christmas is like in China, so here are a few fun facts: 🎄 It’s not a public holiday—most people work or go to school as usual. 🎄 If we exchange gifts, apples are the go-to option (because they symbolize peace and good wishes). 🎄 Christmas is more about commercial activities than cultural or religious traditions. 🎄 For some reason, Santa statues are often seen playing saxophones! 🎷 🎄 It’s mostly an urban phenomenon; rural areas don’t celebrate it. 🎄 It’s more for young adults than families—children don’t usually receive Christmas gifts. The Lunar New Year is the real festive highlight in China. 🧧 Taking place between late January and mid-February, it’s marked by public holidays, gift-giving, and family gatherings—much like Christmas in western countries. If you have business ties with China, this is the holiday to pay greater attention to! What’s the most special holiday in your culture? I’d love to hear about it! #china #christmas #chineseculture

Here are some fun and interesting holiday facts from around the world! 🌍 ✨ Japan: Did you know that in Japan, it's a popular tradition to eat KFC for Christmas dinner. This started from a successful marketing campaign in the 1970s. ✨ Iceland: Icelandic children are visited by 13 Yule Lads during the 13 nights leading up to Christmas. Each has a unique personality and leaves gifts in the children's shoes. ✨ Philippines: The city of San Fernando is known as the "Christmas Capital" due to its Giant Lantern Festival, where enormous, intricate lanterns light up the night. ✨ Venezuela: In Caracas, it's a tradition to roller-skate to early morning Christmas mass. Streets are even closed off to cars to make way for the skaters. ✨ Mexico: Las Posadas is a 9-night celebration that reenacts Mary & Joseph's search for shelter. It involves processions, songs, and community gatherings. ✨ Sweden: The Yule Goat is a traditional Christmas symbol in Sweden. In the city of Gavle, a giant straw goat is erected every year. ✨ Norway: Norwegians hide their brooms on Christmas Eve to prevent witches and evil spirits from stealing them and causing mischief. ✨ Germany: Germany is famous for its Christmas markets which date back to the late Middle Ages. These markets are filled with festive foods and handmade gifts. Share these fun facts to spread some holiday cheer and cultural appreciation! 🇨🇭 Happy Swiss National Day! 🎉 As we celebrate Switzerland’s National Day, we’re reminded of the significance of traditions and celebrations in strengthening bonds and enhancing communication within families. Such occasions are essential in family governance, providing opportunities to unite generations, reinforce shared values, and create lasting memories. In the spirit of today’s festivities, let’s consider how integrating celebrations into family governance can: • Foster Unity: Bringing family members together for celebrations helps reinforce a sense of belonging and collective identity. • Facilitate Communication: Casual, festive settings provide a relaxed environment for discussing matters that might be more challenging to address in formal settings. • Celebrate Achievements: Recognizing individual and collective achievements during family events can boost morale and motivate continued success. Let’s use this day to reflect on how our own family traditions contribute to our governance structures and ensure they are woven into the fabric of our family legacies. How do you incorporate celebrations into your family governance practices? 🎇 To all celebrating, enjoy the festivities and the beauty of Swiss heritage today! #SwissNationalDay #FamilyGovernance #FamilyTradition #Celebration
