Today, SISSA had the occasion to participate in a press conference organized by Università degli Studi di Trieste to showcase the results of the first round of Cascade Calls promoted by iNEST - Ecosistema dell'Innovazione del Nord Est, funded by the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience (PNRR), and to present the latest round of Calls funded by SISSA and the University of Trieste. 🎯 The goal of iNEST Cascade Calls is to support Micro, Small, Medium, and Large Enterprises working on research, development, and technology transfer initiatives in the Triveneto and Mezzogiorno regions. 🔍 Our Head of Valorisation and Innovation Office, Dr. Rene Butto, focused on Cascade Calls funded by SISSA, leader of iNEST Spoke 9. These Calls are dedicated to developing #DigitalTwins applied to different fields, such as infrastructures, resource management, industry, and the environment.

FROSTBIT Project Kickoff in Bordeaux CNRS, as the project coordinator, organized a two-day kickoff meeting last week in Bordeaux (France) to officially launch the FROSTBIT project. The event included management discussions where the partners aligned on the project’s objectives and agreed on the next steps for successful collaboration. During the meeting, the consortium discussed the project’s goals, key milestones, and how to work together effectively to develop innovative solid-state refrigeration technology. Knowledge sharing and discussions helped clarify the roadmap for the next 12-18 months, setting the stage for a strong partnership. Networking sessions during coffee breaks, lunches, and dinners allowed partners to strengthen their collaboration. This kickoff meeting was a key investment in the project's success. With support from the European Innovation Council and Horizon Europe, FROSTBIT has a budget of €4 million and brings together nine partners across four European countries.  #FROSTBITkickoff #Innovation #Sustainability #Refrigeration #EIC #EUProjects
