ATTENTION NEW GRADS! Thinking about becoming a travel therapist? Here are some things you should do and know while looking for your first assignment! Referrals are everything! Every company and recruiter will tell you that they’re the best – but wouldn’t that sound better hearing it from another travel therapist who has either worked for your recruiter or at the same facility you are considering? It’s super comforting and helpful when your recruiter introduces you to another therapist who had all the same questions and concerns you do and can give input from their perspective. Add 3-4 weeks to your timeline. Something to keep in mind when applying for travel assignments is that even after accepting a job offer, it takes an average of 3-4 weeks to get through all the compliance requirements before you can start working at the facility. We typically start looking for assignments 2 months prior to a desired start date! Furnished Finder is not the only resource. Furnished finder and Airbnb are popular options, but there are so many housing apps out there today. No matter what housing option you choose, always make sure the listing has been “verified” and check to see if there are any reviews listed. Be cautious of scammers! You can also find short-term apartment rentals or work with your recruiter to help book discounted, long-term extended stay at a local hotel or efficiency. Hope this was helpful! Please let me know if considering travel and I will let you talk with other new grads I have placed recently. 😊 | DM ME | | EMAIL | tgranstrom@venturamedstaff.com | CALL/TEXT | 402-252-5318

🌟 **My Journey into Travel Healthcare** 🌟 When I first stepped into the travel healthcare industry, let’s be honest—I had no clue what I was doing! 😅 My background was in restaurants, where I grew up in a family that owned restaurant franchises. At 14, I landed my first job as a busser/hostess in a small restaurant in a tourist community. I wore many hats through the years taking on roles as a server, bartender, manager, and everything in between. 🍽️ Fast forward to early 2019: restaurants were closing, and uncertainty loomed about when they would reopen. I found myself at a crossroads, unsure of my next move. That’s when my brother, who had been thriving in travel healthcare for years, said, “It’d be perfect for you! You can work from home, have a career, and you’ll love it.” 💼 The first couple of months were tough—like, really tough. 😩 Learning the lingo, understanding the specialties, and everything else healthcare I didn’t know made it feel overwhelming. But then things started to flow. I immersed myself in social media groups and quickly discovered just how vast this industry is and how much need there was for someone who genuinely cared. 🌍 I knew I was on the right track when I started receiving invitations to weddings, baby showers, and other personal events from the travelers I had worked with. 🎉 It was a clear sign that I was not just a recruiter to them; I was building real connections and relationships. I made a promise to myself: I didn’t want to be “just another recruiter.” I aimed to ensure that every traveler I worked with knew I genuinely cared, was transparent, and wanted to build real relationships. 🤝 I refused to treat anyone like a transaction. Whether a traveler was on an assignment with me or someone else, I wanted them to know that I’m there for them every step of the way and always available to answer questions. 💬 I’d love to hear…… What brought you to this industry, and what do you do differently to set yourself apart?** 🤔 #TravelHealthcare #BeReal #BuildingRelationships #RecruiterLife

Cleaning jobs in Canada🇨🇦🇨🇦can vary greatly depending on the industry, location, and specific job requirements. Some common cleaning jobs in Canada include janitorial positions in commercial buildings, custodial positions in schools or hospitals, and housekeeping positions in hotels or private homes. Janitorial positions typically involve cleaning and maintaining public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms in commercial buildings such as offices or shopping centers. Custodial positions in schools or hospitals often involve cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, laboratories, patient rooms, and other areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Housekeeping positions in hotels or private homes may include cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and other spaces.
