I Am Privileged Let’s talk about something we don’t discuss enough: the privilege of being in tech sales. Yes, privilege. We’re part of an industry that gives us access to tools, knowledge, and compensation that many can only dream of. We enjoy remote work options, world-class training, and uncapped earning potential, all while representing some of the most innovative solutions on the planet. But how often do we pause to reflect on the journey others take to get here? • The person who spent months self-teaching tech skills while working two jobs. • The immigrant who learned English just to communicate with clients. • The single parent balancing quotas with bedtime stories. If you’re in tech sales, chances are, you’ve had some doors opened for you along the way. Maybe it was access to education, mentorship, or even just being in the right place at the right time. Privilege isn’t just about acknowledging what we’ve been given. It’s about asking, “What can I give back?” • Can you mentor someone breaking into tech sales? • Can you champion diverse hiring at your company? • Can you use your voice to help others access the opportunities you’ve had? Our success doesn’t diminish when we lift others up—it grows exponentially. Tech sales isn’t just about closing deals; it’s about opening doors.

🎉 Huge shout out to Olivia Ang, our trailblazing mentor at Sales School! She is fiercely passionate about teaching and giving back to the tech sales community as felt by our students at Sales School. In less than a year Olivia moved from an SDR to a Partnership Manager and now most recently relocated to Australia to work remotely 🦘 Now, let's dive into Olivia's story: 💡 Why tech-sales? Flexible working arrangements, great earning potential, results-based recognition, and being able to tap into my innate skills ⭐ What is your north-star that helps you to show up everyday? Independence is something that’s extremely important to me. I remind myself that I am only limited by how much hard work I’m willing to put in. 🎯 What is your biggest tip you will leave behind for any existing sales reps out there? Lots of people are in tech sales for the money but ask yourself - how long could you keep up with the rigour if it wasn’t just for the remuneration? Are the skills required of a salesperson something that you genuinely enjoy utilising and honing? We wish her continued success in her role, and keep inspiring more people ❤️

It’s been almost two months since I joined Zafran Security, and time has flown by. If you’ve worked at a startup, you know how quickly things move. Here are the top 6 lessons I’ve learned so far: 1. People are everything - the cliché is spot on. Surrounding yourself with talented colleagues pushes you to grow beyond your limits. 2. Professional challenges drive excellence and growth. Stepping outside your comfort zone while having the right tools creates the perfect balance of progress and achievement. 3. Office culture matters. Genuine kindness and shared interests create a sense of belonging that goes beyond work. 4. Execution is key. It’s easy to dream about a great product, but executing across development, sales, marketing, and support is where the real work happens. 5. Prioritize making time for yourself. Amid the chaos, it’s essential to prioritize time for yourself, your loved ones, and your passions to maintain balance in the long run. 6. Turning customer pain into a game-changer is rewarding. Solving real problems for customers feels incredibly fulfilling. On that note, we’re #hiring! We’re looking for top talent: Solution Architects, Full Stack Developers, Sales Engineers, Backend Developers, and more. If you’re ready to join an amazing team on this wild ride, check out our careers page: https://lnkd.in/dhA6cTNS. Feel free to DM me for more details!
