🎉 From Panel Installer to Mechanical Superintendent: A 5-Year Journey 🎉 Five years ago, I started my journey in the solar industry as a panel installer, armed with determination and a vision for growth. Today, I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve taken on the role of Mechanical Superintendent – a milestone that reflects hard work, perseverance, and the amazing opportunities this industry offers. Throughout these years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from talented mentors, leading dedicated crews, and navigating challenges that have shaped me both personally and professionally. From installing panels in the scorching sun to managing teams and overseeing mechanical systems, every step has been a valuable lesson in leadership, innovation, and resilience. This role isn’t just a title; it’s a testament to how far you can go when you’re passionate about what you do and committed to continuous growth. The solar industry has endless opportunities, and I’m excited to keep pushing boundaries, contributing to renewable energy solutions, and helping others along their own journeys. To those just starting out: dream big, work hard, and embrace every challenge. The possibilities are limitless. #CareerGrowth #SolarIndustry #RenewableEnergy #MechanicalSuperintendent #LeadershipJourney #CleanEnergy

I recently had the privilege of spending time on Capitol Hill with American Clean Power Association (ACP) as part of its two-day #CPOTH24 event. The PANHANDLE POWER SOLUTIONS LLC team and I spent time discussing the present and future legislative landscape impacting the renewable sector with members of Congress. We also took the opportunity to convey a message deeply rooted in people, emphasizing the human aspect emerging from the clean-energy transition. We shared that against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, PPS faced a sudden demand to bolster its craft personnel for battery energy storage and utility-scale solar projects. This demand helped us uncover an unforeseen source of skilled labor, industrial electricians, many of whom were displaced from refinery and chemical plant projects. Their high level of skill, structure, and adaptability made them invaluable assets to our renewable projects and continue to do so to this day. Among the remarkable individuals who joined our journey is Michael Falcon our Director of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE). Mike's career path was predominantly rooted in the industrial sector before he joined PPS, where he leveraged his expertise from diverse settings such as refineries, chemical plants, steel mills, and power plants. These experiences equipped Mike, and others like him, with a robust foundation in electrical systems, safety protocols, and problem-solving techniques - skills seamlessly transferable to the renewable energy sector. As the market pursues an "all the above" energy solution, it's heartening to witness the elevation of craft personnel across the country. Their rigorous adherence to safety standards in industrial settings has instilled in them a keen awareness of workplace hazards and best practices for risk mitigation - an invaluable asset in the renewable energy sector’s safety-conscious environment. As we shared with legislators on Capitol Hill, the energy transition isn't just about sustainability - it's about enhancing lives and livelihoods. Mike's journey exemplifies the opportunities presented by this transition, where individuals from diverse backgrounds find meaningful roles, contributing to a greener future while enjoying an improved quality of life. This is the promise of renewable energy - a path forward that not only sustains our planet but also uplifts our communities.

🛠️ Let's wrap up our celebration of National Engineers Week by putting the spotlight on Dalton, an amazing team member and contributor behind our engineering excellence! 👷♂️ 🔧 Dalton's Role: As a Senior Engineer, Dalton's primary responsibility is completing engineering designs for natural gas distribution mains, metering stations, and regulating stations. This includes sizing equipment for new customers, completing relocations for Department of Transportation work, and general system improvements. 👨🔧 What Dalton Enjoys About His Job: "One thing I really enjoy about my job is the collaborative nature of the role. While each engineer has their own projects that they are responsible for, as a group, we are always asking each other questions and sharing experiences across work regions. This leads to knowledge sharing that helps each of us individually become better engineers and improves the department as a whole." 👏 Let's give Dalton, and all our engineers, a round of applause for their dedication to keeping our systems safe as we deliver reliable, always-on energy! 🙌💙 #EngineerSpotlight #TeamCollaboration #NationalEngineersWeek #Engineers #MeetTheTeam
