The Quote Conundrum: Why Accuracy Matters and How We Can Fix It Alright, insurance fam, let's talk about another elephant in the room - those wildly inaccurate quotes that are driving us all bananas! 🍌 It's 2024, folks. We've got AI that can write poetry, cars that can drive themselves, but somehow we're still dealing with quotes that are about as accurate as a blindfolded archer. What gives? Here's the deal: inaccurate quotes aren't just annoying, they're a colossal waste of time for everyone involved. And in this industry, time is money, honey! 💰 So, how do we fix this mess? Grab your coffee, because I've got some ideas: 1. Carriers, listen up: a) If it's a no-go, tell us upfront! Don't make us jump through hoops just to get rejected. Build that into your system, pretty please. b) Ask the right questions to get rates we can trust. No more bait and switch, okay? c) Sell those endorsements upfront. Hippo's doing it right with their three-option approach. Take notes! 2. Loss history should be a breeze: Canopy and Loss Run Pros are onto something. Let's get that loss data mapped over automatically. No more manual entry nightmares! 3. Feedback is your friend: Give us agents a place to call out those ridiculous rates. And carriers, you better be ready to explain those discrepancies or fix 'em! 4. Accountability is key: How about a carrier report card? Or a standard for inclusion?
