The future favours counterflow heat exchangers – this applies, in particular, to uses in recuperation units with flow rates of up to 5,000 m³/h. They have higher efficiency and thermal energy savings, so their operation is more environmentally friendly. Their previous disadvantages, such as higher costs, are diminishing thanks to optimised production.
