Today, on America Recycles Day, I'm excited to highlight our partnership with X, the moonshot factory and their Moonshot for Circularity project. Several years ago Recology delivered our first samples of plastic to the team at X, kicking off a partnership to advance our shared vision of building a circular economy and achieving a world without waste. Since then, Rey Banatao and his incredible team have been leveraging data and AI to build tools aimed at radically transforming how we recycle while answering a key question - what if the world's waste could actually become our most valuable resource? I've been fortunate enough to work with the team at X and was honored to share more about our partnership in season 4 of Google's #WhereTheInternetLives. There's no silver bullet to improving our recycling system and creating a circular economy, but with "moonshot" projects like this I know that we're on our way.
