Intentions ✨ I've been thinking about this for years. It didn't happen overnight. 🌱 In June I was in Anceu Coliving, a place full of magic. It's a rural co-living in Galicia, where we live together people from more than 10 different nationalities. 🗺️ 🏡 Sharing in the everyday fosters familiarity, allowing you to feel at home even in a new place. 👤 I can see that there was a people-centered design, with spaces planned to give comfort to their colivers (coliving participants). This way, we have enough peace and quiet to not feel overwhelmed by living with 15 other people. ❤️ Many people (and animals) synchronize to create the soul of the place. It is lived in love, care and respect. I repeat, I have been thinking about this for years when still living in Argentina. It didn't happen overnight. I asked for it. ✨ I am aware of the great privileges I have had and have in my life. 🤲 I am mindful of all the people who inspired me to pursue this type of online work, which allows me to live in an international community. 👣 I am also aware of the efforts I made to be where I am and to lead this lifestyle that I dreamed so much, that I intended so many times. Not everything is magic, choosing this lifestyle makes me miss many other moments with my family and friends. It is clear to me, these are life choices and I must be guided by what my inner compass indicates. 🧭 🌍 I knew I wanted to participate in international projects, to belong to global communities that nurture my experiences and enhance my life learnings. 👣 Step by step I created the life I wanted for myself, and I am living the life I want to live. I am here to live, to accompany people in their life projects, and nothing better than nurturing mine to be able to inspire others. ✨ I created BWell Lab with Tomás Nores to be able to work remotely, in projects that promote people's quality of life and to be able to be in places like this. What steps are you taking for your dreams? What are going to be your intentions this month? #Intentions #Dreams #Lifestyle

Unlocking culture´s untapped potential to boost social innovation in rural areas We at Grupo TASO have completed in 2024 the impact evaluation of the nationwide scheme to expand and diversify the cultural offer in non-urban areas carried out by the Ministry of Culture of Spain in collaboration with all the regional authorities in the country. This pioneering, multilevel governance support scheme resulted in about 500 cultural projects with some degree of innovation, covering more than 1200 municipalities and supported with public spending of €20 million. To meet the evaluation challenge, we addressed three main strands —decentralized call for projects system, territorial impact, and impact on the local creative ecosystems. Thanks to Cecilia Caballero and Eva Jiménez Taracido for the great job, and thanks to the more than 300 contributors that were engaged in a multi-source coproduction model, including the own beneficiaries, calls´ managing authorities and experts. 🌟 Reflecting on a compelling chronicle by our colleague, Anniken Hofgaard published in Dagens Næringsliv yesterday! Her analysis highlights key areas where Norway can enhance its innovation landscape: 🚀Capital Access: Norway trails behind Sweden in mobilizing risk capital for globally competitive companies. 📊Funding Bias: Innovation Norway shows a strong preference for regional districts over major innovation hubs like Oslo in its funding allocation. 🐟Established Industries: A significant portion of funding is allocated to well-established coastal industries, limiting the support for emerging technologies with international scope. ⚖️Policy Conflicts: The dual mandate of Innovation Norway to support both innovation and regional development leads to conflicting priorities, potentially stifling high-impact innovations. We root for Anniken stepping more out of her comfort zone to provide more insights like this🤩 ⬇️Find a link to the article below

It's been an enlightening few days for our colleagues participating in the Belgian Economic Mission to Brazil, as they have met and discussed how connected lighting solutions can benefit towns, cities and businesses. Plinio Godoy, our Technical Manager in Brazil shared his insights on smart infrastructure and sustainable urban solutions during the panel discussion on “Smart and Sustainable Cities and Regions” in São Paulo. We are actively involved in the mission to Brazil, as the country plays an integral role in Schréder's growth and success in the Latin American market. We are deeply committed to supporting Brazilian cities in their digital transformation, accompanying them on their journey and providing innovative solutions for smart and sustainable urban development. Thanks to HRH Princess Astrid for hosting the mission and to the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency (BFTA), hub.brussels, Wallonia Export & Investment Agency, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) and FPS Foreign Affairs for organising the seminar and the mission. Being an ambitious American in Aotearoa feels like a big struggle sometimes. I’ve often held back from expressing my biggest ambitions in business, sensing that New Zealand culture can sometimes look down on American ambition as “too much.” It wasn’t until this last 4 months of being in the US did I realize that my ‘American ambition’ is actually my superpower. And to be honest, it felt so damn good to claim that. Ambition is not a dirty word. It’s about having a clear vision and the determination to achieve it. It’s about seeing beyond limitations and helping others see what’s truly possible. I am and always will be a pie-in-the-sky optimist at heart. I realized my unique perspective can encourage New Zealand-based businesses to break through mental roadblocks and pursue their boldest visions. Ambition has also led me to spaces and places I never knew existed. Ambition isn’t about domination—it’s about alignment. It’s the determination to stop waiting for “the right time,” and the drive to create a better version of your business and life. Ambition needs a rebrand, and I’m here to lead that change. #businessstrategist #smallbusinesssupport #newzealandbusiness ——— I’m Jen, planning nerd, Business Strategist and Master of the Roadmap. I work with owners and service providers to define and map out the next chapter of their business. I post about online business insights, strategy and BTS of running my own business. I’m so glad you’re here. *Currently available for new client work starting Oct 14th. Message me for more details.

Almedalen 2024 – same, same but different… The political week in Almedalen has come to an end, and while some topics and debates felt quite familiar from prior years, I left feeling that we are heading towards a tipping point, that there was a sense of urgency present in the discussions, that was not there last year; If not now, then when? If not us, then who? As Swedes, we love a ‘good discussion’, and Almedalen is all about those, but we get anxious when it comes to putting words to practice, even when there seems to be a consensus behind the direction (…), and as we all wrap up and leave for our traditional 4 week sabbatical (i.e. Swedish summer vacation), I wonder how we can keep the momentum? Personally, I left inspired by a round table we hosted with the network ‘Perspektiv Innovation’, where we meet across industries, academia and the public sector to discuss and identify needs and opportunities to strengthen the innovation power of ‘Sverige AB’ and importantly, how we can ensure that great innovations are implemented and can benefit our society and its citizens. This time, appropriate for the setting, we had also representatives from the Swedish government and parliament joining us, and I want to thank especially Aida Birinxhiku, member of the parliament (S), and Håkan Jevrell State Secretary to Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, for not only sharing their (encouraging) perspectives, but also for their openness to listen and not only acknowledge, but also wanting to problem solve, together, for what it takes to put Sweden back again as an international leader in innovation. Innovation helps us to reimagine what is possible, and also to reinvent ourselves, both which are urgently needed to become a leader and to become sustainable in a world that can no longer cope with the legacy of its past. Therefore, to keep that momentum going, we will work to put innovation high on the political agenda as well, to reach that tipping point where we actually start putting words into practice and make a difference together (after the summer break that is ;) Thank you Rowan Dias Högman (Ericsson), Anders Persson (Astra Zeneca), Daniel Akenine (Microsoft), Klementina Österberg (GU Ventures), Ann-Therése Enarsson (Futurion), Laurent Saunier (Vinnova), and as always Cecilia Ungerstedt (Novartis) and Petra Eurenius (Rud Pedersen) for your participation in the round table, and for your unwavering passion and commitment to innovation!
