Project Engineer - 1 position Responsibilities: The project engineer/Planner/Controller works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements. Essential Functions: Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, Controlling different activities and monitoring of assigned engineering projects. The primary responsibilities includes: Project Planning: Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Coordination: Acting as the bridge between the project manager and the technical aspects of the project, coordinating the efforts of different teams, such as engineering, procurement, and construction. Technical Oversight: Ensuring the engineering designs and technical specifications meet the required standards and are implemented correctly. Resource Management: Allocating appropriate resources and ensuring their availability throughout the project. Risk Management: Identifying project risks related to technical executions and proposing mitigation strategies. Quality Control: Ensuring the project delivers to the agreed standards and specifications, often through testing and quality assurance practices. Documentation: Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining project technical documentation and reports. Creating and defining project goals and objectives Liaising with site construction teams and other related professionals Analysing each phase of projects to determine budgets Tracking project costs and ensuring implementation stays within predicted estimates Estimating the project timeline and making sure teams adhere to delivery dates Managing the human and capital resources of a project to ensure timely delivery, This role requires you to have a strong understanding of contract terminology to ensure all parties adhere to the terms of the agreement. This skill helps you to minimise disputes, maintain positive relationships with vendors and partners, and protect the interests of the project. Financial reporting: One of your duties as a controller is to prepare periodic financial reports, presenting detailed information on the project's financial status. These reports aid in decision-making for project managers, team members and clients. Risk management and preparing contingency plans, monitoring market trends and analysing the financial stability of suppliers and subcontractors.
