Lent is a time for repairing the harm we have done to our Savior by the sins we have committed. We make reparation through a true contrition, a sorrow for the pain we have caused the One who has already given so much. We can only come to a true contrition for our sins through the grace of God and not through and good of our own. Learn today how to beg of God the grace of true contrition. https://lnkd.in/ghSyyfmz

September 11 Daily Reflections MAKING AMENDS Above all, we should try to be absolutely sure that we are not delaying because we are afraid. TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 87 To have courage, to be unafraid, are gifts of my recovery. They empower me to ask for help and to go forth in making my amends with a sense of dignity and humility. Making amends may require a certain amount of honesty that I feel I lack, yet with the help of God and the wisdom of others, I can reach within and find the strength to act. My amends may be accepted, or they may not, but after they are completed I can walk with a sense of freedom and know that, for today, I am responsible. Tuesday, April 9 Protect Your Heart Dr David Jeremiah Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23, NIV It seems that most law enforcement personnel today wear bulletproof vests while on duty. While those vests are usually made of tough, synthetic material, in many combat situations soldiers have vests with actual metal or ceramic plates covering their chests. Why the emphasis on protecting the chest from fatal gunfire? Because a wound to the chest may result in a wound to the heart. And a wound to the heart is rarely survived. In Paul’s description of the Christian’s spiritual armor, he wrote that righteousness is the believer’s breastplate—that which protects the heart (Ephesians 6:14). The leather breastplate of the Roman soldier in Paul’s day has been replaced by today’s bulletproof vests—but the purpose is the same. Righteousness implies holiness or sinlessness. But how are we, as sinners, able to protect our heart from Satan’s accusations of sinfulness? By relying not on our righteousness but on the righteousness of Christ who never sinned: “For [God] made [Christ] who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Protect your heart by depending on Christ’s righteousness rather than your own. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. Edward Mote Recommended Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:21 (nkjv) 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

As an introvert, entering the real estate industry was both an unexpected and daunting leap for me. I didn't fully grasp what I was getting myself into, and to be honest, speaking to strangers and attending social events has always drained my energy. Navigating through a field that requires constant interaction and networking seemed like an uphill battle. However, I quickly learned that this career demands stepping out of my comfort zone and engaging with people from all walks of life. It hasn’t been easy, but each day I find myself breaking barriers I didn’t think possible. This journey has forced me to grow in ways I never anticipated, pushing me to connect, communicate, and thrive in social interactions. I firmly believe that there's a reason I found myself in real estate, challenging my natural inclinations. Perhaps there's a bigger plan at play—one that’s teaching me invaluable lessons and preparing me for something greater. Although I still take it one day at a time, I am profoundly grateful for the experiences and personal growth I’ve gained along the way. To all my fellow introverts out there: sometimes, the most rewarding paths are those that force us to evolve beyond our boundaries. Embrace the journey, no matter how uncomfortable it feels at first. You never know what incredible opportunities and transformations await you just outside your comfort zone. #PersonalGrowth #RealEstateJourney #Introvert #SteppingOutOfComfortZone #Gratitude
Hold on before you shout! God will put you in the necessary paths for His purpose in your life. That means He will put you in the palace, but He will also put you in the pit and prison. (Yes, we're using Joseph's experience) The Pit: (Protection) This is the place where Joseph's life was spared. His brothers wanted to murder him, but they put him in a pit to sell into slavery. People will put you in a pit because they envy God's hand on your life. But God can use their flaws for His greater purpose in your life. Remember, your pit is not your grave, it's for your temporary protection. Prison: (Preparation) This is where Joseph landed after being falsely accused, but it was also the place where he gained favor and used his gift. No one wants to be trapped and living beneath their value, but our value is expressed in a place. Yes, you will be in bad places because you did what was righteous. However, built into your burdens are God's blessings. People in position and power will see you in your prison and you will be promoted. Things will work out for your good and God's glory. Palace: (Promotion) This is where Joseph got promoted to his high place. But remember, God will never put you in a place where your character cannot sustain you. If you are in a high place with low character you will fall in due season. In your palace, you will have position, pay, and power, but you will also have to live in humility, righteousness, and forgiveness. So regardless of where you are love God, and do what He requires. #TipTuesday The Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 NLT He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path. Psalms 40:2 AMP

James 1:2-4 ESV [2] Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, [3] for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. [4] And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. https://lnkd.in/ecbkn-W

July 23 Daily Reflections I ASK GOD TO DECIDE "I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to you and my fellows." ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, p. 76 Having admitted my powerlessness and made a decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of God, as I understand Him, I don't decide which defects get removed, or the order in which defects get removed, or the time frame in which they get removed. I ask God to decide which defects stand in the way of my usefulness to Him and to others, and then I humbly ask Him to remove them.
