REINVEST 2024: A Step Closer to India's Renewable Future
The recently concluded REINVEST 2024, inaugurated by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, brought together global delegates to showcase India’s leadership in the renewable energy (RE) sector. With ₹32.45 lakh crore in investment commitments and an ambitious vision to achieve 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070, this event was truly a landmark moment in India's energy transition.
Reflecting on REINVEST 2024 reminded me of a program I had the privilege of organizing recently, where I witnessed several Greentech startups present their innovative solutions for the RE sector. It was inspiring to see their ideas and dedication towards building a cleaner, greener future. The event was a convergence of government stakeholders, renowned academic institutions, corporates, and investors—all driven by a common goal of transforming the energy landscape.
I firmly believe that as we march towards these ambitious targets, startups and MSMEs will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the renewable energy ecosystem. Their innovation, agility, and solutions will be key to achieving India’s goals of 500 GW of renewable capacity and net-zero emissions.
With strong policies, global collaborations, and continued leadership, I am confident that India will not only meet these targets but will lead the global charge in renewable energy transformation.
The future is green, and we are ready to lead.
