On Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, MTIP Batch 5 had the honor of participating in an inspiring coffee talk with the visionary founders of Mantappu Corp., Jehian Panangian Sijabat and Jerome Polin Sijabat. Here is the key takeaways that i take: 1. Focus on your purpose: Opinions of others dominate when we lack a strong "why." Prioritize what truly matters. 2. Be unapologetically selfish: Sometimes, being selfish is necessary to stay focused on your goals. 3. Choose supportive friends: Surround yourself with people who uplift you, not those with hidden agendas. 4. Regret comes from inaction: In the long run, we regret what we didn’t try more than what we did. 5. Create personal systems: Use a reward and punishment system tailored to motivate you, even if it’s unconventional. 6. Growth is cyclical: Interest drives tendencies, and talent reveals potential—keep this infinite cycle going. 7. Success requires more than skill: Expertise alone isn’t enough; other factors like presentation and delivery matter. 8. Embrace uniqueness: Every experience is valuable and shapes your personal journey. 9. Self-awareness is key: Reflect regularly to identify areas for improvement and stay motivated. 10. Endure boredom: Progress often requires pushing through repetitive or unexciting phases. 11. Avoid limiting beliefs: Don’t let thoughts like "I’m not there yet" hold you back. #MTIP5 #MTIPTalks #MantappuTalks

🎉 🎉 🎉 Daily anniversary testimonial: Prof. Dr. Stacey Philbrick Yadav! 🎉 🎉 🎉 Since the inception of CARPO ten years ago, we have placed a strong focus on empowering voices from the region to contribute to research and policy development in and on their respective countries. We also continue to foster and support research partnerships as a collaborative learning experience on an eye-to-eye basis. Addressing persisting asymmetries in knowledge production is central to our work, as is highlighted by our Advisory Board member Prof. Dr. Stacey Philbrick Yadav. She describes her experience working with CARPO as follows: “Working with CARPO has fundamentally changed the way I do research.” #KnowledgeJustice #ResearchCollaboration #DecolonizeResearch #BridgingKnowledge #KnowledgeForChange

It's almost one year since I launched the idea of vidpeds - Voice of the Young. At that time, I had no plans for how the concept would evolve over time, or even how it would be implemented in detail. All I had was a very simple concept. I had realized that many of today's young Indians are very good, bolstered by the new technologies that allow them to develop themselves without relying on their families, friends, and teachers. Part of the change came from the increasing thrust of online learning during the covid lockdowns. However, Indian society was stuck in the old ways. Simply put, 'seniors talk, juniors listen.' Even though the young are said to be the country's future. I decided to flip it. On my channel, it would be 'juniors talk, senior listens.' That's all. It was very hard to explain it to the first few young speakers - but they did a great job, which has paved the way for where we are today. First young speaker May 4 2023: Alan Seemon https://lnkd.in/geMUJXph https://lnkd.in/gmyfGme5 Second young speaker May 8 2023 Shivangi Bose https://lnkd.in/g5YhxecS Third young speaker May 15 2023 Farman Chauhan https://lnkd.in/g5YhxecS I thank them and all the subsequent young speakers for creating a win-win channel. I now think of it as a start-up, which has now moved to Phase 2, and should become a permanent feature of life for young people. At present, my channel includes both young people and experts. I plan to split off the expert channel soon, and have two channels. Thanks all.
