Ear mites, common external parasites in cats, can lead to severe irritation, infections, and discomfort for your feline companion. These tiny organisms infest the ear canal and skin surface, causing symptoms such as excessive scratching, dark crusty discharge, and head shaking. They spread easily from one infected animal to another and can be contracted from contaminated surfaces or grooming tools. Treatment typically involves anti-parasitic medication prescribed by a veterinarian, along with ear cleaning and antibiotics if necessary. Preventative measures include regular veterinary checkups, cleaning your cat's environment, and using parasite prevention products.#purrcure #purrcurepetsclinicujranwala #purrcurepetsclinic #purrcurepets #purrcuregujranwala #purrcurepetsclinicgujranwala #cat #dog #vet #petcare #petsurgery #neutering #spaying @purrcurepetsclinic @purrcurepets @draliasadullah092

Did you know? Pets can harbor and spread antimicrobial-resistant bacteria. Close contact with pets, especially if antibiotics are frequently used, raises the risk of these bacteria transferring to humans. 💊 Antibiotics in veterinary medicine are as crucial as in human medicine. Misuse and overuse can lead to resistant infections in pets, which can then be passed to their owners 💊 We often share environments, which facilitates the transfer of resistant bacteria. Regular hand washing and proper pet hygiene can help reduce this risk. 💊 zoonotic diseases are transmissible from animals to humans. If drug-resistant, are particularly concerning. When pets carry these, treatment becomes challenging. 💊 Responsible antibiotic use is key. Always follow your vet's guidance on antibiotic use and complete all prescribed courses Every pet owner has a role in fighting AMR. Bogy🐈, a 5-year-old feline, presented with signs of urinary obstruction, including anuria (cessation of urination) and anorexia (loss of appetite). On examination, a firm, distended bladder was palpated, suggesting a possible urethral blockage. Immediate intervention involved the placement of a urinary catheter to relieve the obstruction and ensure proper urinary flow. Post-catheterization, Bogy is recovering well, with gradual resumption of normal urination and interest in food. Urinary obstructions in cats can often result from urolithiasis, urethral plugs, or idiopathic cystitis, necessitating prompt veterinary attention to prevent severe complications such as acute kidney injury or bladder rupture. #cat #clinic #vet #veterinary_medicine #pets_care
