🎄 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! 🎄 As the holiday season brings joy, reflection, and yes a touch of chaos; it’s striking how much this time of year mirrors the experience of running a disorganized business. During the holidays, everything follows a process: the way we decorate the tree, prepare a family dinner, or coordinate gift-giving. There’s a system behind it all, designed to honor traditions and its requirements. Now, imagine if your business operated with that same level of clarity and structure! As we step away for a few days to celebrate, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect: - Does my business run smoothly if I take an extended vacation? - What recurring problems need attention or a permanent solution? - Are my systems helping me build a reliable asset, or am I managing chaos daily? - Where are the bottlenecks, and which systems can I refine for 2025? The holidays are meant to bring peace (at least, that’s what one could hope for!), and a well-structured business offers that same gift: peace of mind, clarity, and the confidence to grow. Wishing you a season filled with joy, love, and perhaps even a few moments of quiet reflection. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎁

𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬—𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬! It is also the perfect time to pause and reflect! It is the time to celebrate successes, acknowledge challenges, and, most importantly, get geared up for the year ahead. For me, the next few weeks are also a reminder of the power of gratitude for the incredible people we have around us. 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞? 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧. We take them for granted and don't thank our friends and families enough. Remember, they deserve the love, attention, gratitude, and most importantly, your time. While we constantly focus on what's next, we forget to pay attention to the "now"! As we take a break from the daily hustle, let us think about: - 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫? - 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫? - 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐈 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 2025 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞? This holiday season, instead of just Netflix and chill, let’s take time to reconnect with our loved ones, indulge in the joy of giving, and recharge our minds and spirits. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐭𝐡, 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫. How do you plan to celebrate your holidays? In my 14 years supporting R U OK? one of my biggest takeaways has been to never make assumptions. Katherine Newton CEO of R U OK? reminded me greatly of this last week, when she shared, one of her most valuable lessons has also been to #neverassume — especially when it comes to the holiday season. The holidays can carry a heavy emotional weight for many, and it’s essential to approach this time of year with awareness and empathy. Instead of asking people about their Christmas and holiday plans with the assumption that it’s a joyful time, I practice being aware of the context: 💛 Have they lost someone they loved? 💛 Might they be feeling lonely, perhaps living solo? 💛 Are they having to work while others celebrate? 💛 Is there family friction going on? 💛 Could there be financial pressure, a lost job or without work? 💛 Might a child, partner, family member or friend be sick? 💛 Maybe there is no holiday or time for rest and fun? This year, I challenge us to rethink how we can check in with others. Instead of asking, "What are you doing over the holidays", try “How are you feeling about the holidays?” or "What does Christmas time look like for you?." This allows for a more honest and open conversation, perhaps a less 'tick in the box' chat at a busy time, when we might just forget how impactful our little interactions can be. A simple and small act of care can be more meaningful than we realise. Head to ruok.org.au/holiday for more tips #RUOK #Holidays #Everyday

What’s Your Holiday “No”? Here’s Mine. 🙅♀️ I’ve always been the social type. Invite me to a party, game night, or gathering, and I’m there! I love connecting with people and having fun. But here’s the thing: as much fun as those events are, I’d always come home drained. Tired. Wiped out. When it came to the Christmas season, I knew I didn’t want that same feeling creeping into my holiday break. So, years ago—back when I first got married (wow, time flies!)—I had a conversation with my hubby about my big holiday “No.” I never wanted to travel for Christmas. Let me explain. Around the holidays, I usually get about a week off from work (paid, yay!), and I wanted to actually enjoy that time. Like, really enjoy it. No packing, no booking flights, no lugging gifts through airports. Just a simple, restful staycation. Most trips are exhausting, and honestly, who’s packing up all those Christmas gifts? Nah, I’m good! 😂 My hubby was on board, and once we had kids, that “No” became even more solidified. Staying home has allowed us to slow down, create our own traditions, and truly soak in the season without the chaos. It’s been a game-changer for my family and a reminder that sometimes saying "No" is the best way to say "Yes" to what matters most. So, here’s my question for you: ❄️ What’s your “No” this holiday season? ❄️ How are you setting boundaries to protect your peace and focus on what really counts? Let’s trade ideas and inspire each other to create a stress-free, joy-filled holiday season. #HolidayBoundaries #QualityTime #FamilyTraditions #JustSayNo #SetBoundaries #ParentCoach #WorkingMom #WorkingDad #ParentingTipsAndTricks

Sleighing this holiday season! 🎅 As we dive into the holiday season, I want to share a personal reflection that may resonate with some of you. Don't we often assume that holidays are solely about spending time with loved ones, giving back, and putting others first. And while that's partially true, I believe it's essential to remember that holidays are also about YOU. In our pursuit of making others happy, we often forget to prioritize our own needs, desires. But what if I told you that taking time for yourself during holidays is not selfish, but necessary! In this video, I have shared my favourite ways to disconnect and recharge during holidays: 🎄 Saying no to work calls and emails: Because boundaries are essential, even on vacation. 🎄Indulging in creative pursuits: Clicking pictures, making reels, and having fun – because joy is contagious! 🎄Soaking up the sun on a beach: Because nature has a way of calming our minds and rejuvenating our spirits. 🎄Spending quality time with loved ones: Getting to know them better, sharing laughters and creating memories. Share with me your favourite ways to disconnect during vacations! #HolidayVibes #LinkedInNews #LinkedInEditors #LinkedInCreators #VideoCamp2024

This time of year somehow feels both slower and busier at the same time. Balancing the end-of-year demands at work with family traditions, holiday errands, and travel can be overwhelming. The office might be winding down for a holiday break—but not before those deadlines and year-end plans are finalized. The family holiday dinner will be wonderful—but first, there’s the shopping, the cooking, and the traveling to arrange. It’s not easy to juggle it all, especially now. So here’s a gentle reminder: you can’t be fully present everywhere, all the time. And that’s okay. This season, let your personal life take the front seat. The holidays are one of the few times when we collectively give ourselves permission to step away, slow down, and be with the ones who matter most. The work will still be there when you return—and the world won’t fall apart without you. So, take the time. Here’s how to make it happen: ⭐ 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝘆. Treat it like the most important thing on your calendar—because it is. Your top priority deserves your full attention, and anything else can wait. ⭐ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆. Let your team and clients know ahead of time when you’ll be offline and how they can manage without you. Set expectations for yourself, your team, and your family so everyone is on the same page. ⭐ 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. You’ve made a promise to yourself and those you care about—keep it. Honor the time you’ve set aside to show up fully for the people who mean the most. ⭐ 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲. No one has it all together, and no one expects you to. It’s okay if everything doesn’t get checked off your list. Is it easier said than done? Maybe. But I promise—it’s worth it. Take a deep breath, step back, and trust that you’ve got this. I believe in you.

Holidays are around the corner 😎 I’m excited, time off to relax, hang out with the family, long dog walks and BBQ’s. As the cheesy signs says, “sandy toes and salty kisses” 😆 To be able to have those carefree moments, we have to plan and work for it. That is why I thought it might be an excellent time to signpost you to this blog — Preparing Your Business For A Holiday. 🏖️ Our businesses are vital to us; we’ve worked so hard to grow them, but here’s something you need to hear – you are allowed a holiday. You deserve time to switch off and spend time with family and friends. Your clients completely respect and accept you prioritising your well-being. The big question is – how can you do it? Can you switch off your phone? Or, more accurately, as you’ll still be needing the camera, turn it onto aeroplane mode so that it’s ‘off’ and the notifications stop? 🔕 I’m sharing the systems I use in the lead-up to a holiday so that I know everything is as organised as it can be before I go – allowing you to take a breath, and not feel that dread of tasks and emails piling up waiting for you.. You can feel in control whilst relaxing; go read the blog - any questions on how to set things up, just get in touch. https://lnkd.in/eUmVymfg
