🎄Just two weeks to go until Christmas! 🎅 I’d love to hear your thoughts on this one: Are Office Christmas Parties Still Important in Recruitment? Lately, I’ve been hearing from recruiters that some companies are either cancelling their Christmas parties or asking employees to cover the costs themselves. While I understand that budget constraints and a tough year might be driving these decisions, I wonder — does this send the right message to your teams? To me, a Christmas party isn’t just about having a good time; it’s a heartfelt “thank you” for the effort and commitment your employees have shown all year long. In fact, when the year’s been particularly challenging, it feels even more important to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work recruiters put in day after day. For me, the Christmas party isn’t just an event — it’s an investment in company culture. 🎉 What are your thoughts? Do you think the office Christmas party still matters? Let’s discuss! 👇 #christmasparty #christmasfun #recruiterlife

🎅NOVEMBER IS ENDING!!!!🎅 Just in case you haven't checked your diary, this is the final week of November. With only 4 full weeks of work before the public holidays & summer breaks kick in, you need to factor this in to your hiring. Festive Hiring Faux-Pas 🎄Posting an advert a few days before Christmas. Generally speaking people are not on SEEK on Christmas Day, unless you dislike your family as much as your job? Get your advert up NOW with a closing date of the week you return to work. 🎄Advertising, then having the key decision maker away for 3 weeks during the interview stages. Get organised, sort out your panel and tentatively book in those dates with them now ahead of finding candidates. 🎄Thinking you don't need HR cover over the festive season. The people that are working still need somewhere to go if they have questions, you just can't have all of your HR team out of office at once, that could cause chaos! Reach out to discuss your hiring process or leave cover! 📧Erin.Swanson@Hays.com.au 📞03 9604 9525 💬Message me on LinkedIn #HaysHRMelb #HRHiring #FestiveSeason
