Does this sound like a moment in your day? You have an idea that could increase ticket revenue, enhance audience experience or make your processes more efficient. But you can’t get out of the day-to-day and upcoming deadlines to even start making it happen? My colleague John Jakovich (Chief Innovation Officer at Tessitura) has a recommended approach you can use when you feel overwhelmed by the belief that “impactful innovation can only be achieved through herculean endeavours”. He explains that that anyone can innovate, and… if you want big results faster, you might need to actually think smaller. His advice is very encouraging and worth a read. I’ve popped the link in the comments. 👇

Recently, I visited a bookstore and overheard a conversation with a customer who was hesitant to pick up a book by any author he hadn’t read before. That reminded me of a person I know who avoids restaurants he hasn’t tried yet. And another one who prefers to watch movies she already knows. I think it’s a myth that people crave the new. Some certainly do. But most don’t. They crave familiar. They hate the risk that always comes with the new. If you speak to an audience praising your innovation, keep this in mind. You’re certainly excited by the new ideas, the breakthrough design, the fresh take. But is that true for your audience? Are they eager to take the risk of the unknown? Or do they need a little reassurance of the familiar, to see the things that haven’t changed, to be reminded of how that fits with what they already know? It’s easy to get caught up in our own excitement for the innovation, but it’s just as important to give your audience a chance to catch up. __ I help people find the right words. If you’re looking for words that resonate strongly with your audience, send me a DM or book an appointment with the link under my name.

The legacy agency model is being challenged. This presents an opportunity to rethink what external creative support looks like and provides. I believe organizations will still need external creative support, specifically in building their own content studios. I hope to be a part of a richer, yet cheaper and more streamlined approach to creating premium content. The future of marketing is Brand, not Ad.
Controversial take: Agencies are no longer a home for innovation. (I can hear half of Brooklyn slamming their Macbooks shut in a rage.) Jinal Shah, GM & CMO at Zip US, dropped this truth bomb on my recent episode of “How The F**k Did You Get That Job” (now live on OpenFortune's website). Way back when, advertising agencies were the innovation hubs. → Where cutting-edge ideas were born → Where new skill sets were honed But the winds have shifted. Now, organizations themselves are becoming innovation epicenters. → Housing the momentum of creative thinking → Evolving with the skills of ex-agency talents Why the shift? It’s a natural progression, Jinal explains. As more people practice and develop their craft, they bring their expertise in-house. This is transforming organizations from within. It's not just about where you work. It's about where you can make the biggest impact with your skills. So, where do you see the most innovation happening? Is this shift better since it creates some amount of accountability for results?

Here's my latest #Innovation insight for all you business trailblazers out there. 🚀 Innovation isn't just about having the latest tech or the flashiest product; it’s the heartbeat of any business looking to thrive in today's market. It's the difference between being a Blockbuster and becoming a Netflix. 🎯 Did you know? A McKinsey study found that 84% of executives agree that innovation is important to their growth strategy, but only 6% are satisfied with their innovation performance. Quite the cliffhanger, right? Here's the director's cut on making innovation work for you: - Foster a culture that celebrates risk-taking. - Encourage wild ideas; sometimes they're the blockbusters of tomorrow. - Keep the user experience at the center of your innovation strategy. Now, tell me – have you seen innovation take a business from the 'direct-to-DVD' section to the top of the streaming charts? What's your box office hit story? Drop it in the comments! 👇 And if you've enjoyed this little snippet of innovation talk, hit the like 👍, leave a comment, or share the post with your network! #BusinessSuccess #GrowthMindset #BusinessInnovation

This is an incredible #innovation and #design. Making everyday life more accessible is key for a modern society to function and for everyone in our society to participate. Often these accessibility features can be seen as costly and an add on, but when planned and built into something we already use like stairs, the cost goes down significantly. These are things we love to do at VOZWIN Industries
