2nd day of the Rethink! Smart Manufacturing 2024 in Berlin. I had yesterday some interesting client meeting with my college Dr.-Ing. Tobias Harland. Main discussion point was the major challenges of manufacturers in 2024. Here is my analysis: 1. Scaling the digital transformation becomes more important. Solutions have to be rolled out globally in an easy way and avoid local solutions. 2. Existing IT architectures with on-prem solutions and bad connectivity between the system are not future proven. Many companies work on a future proven solution. 3. Organizational and cultural challenges are addressed more. It’s recognized that most projects do not fail due to technology but regards the implementation process or the acceptance Onward Partners is offering solutions on these three challenges.
