Hello Everyone! I successfully installed CUCM 12.5 on VMware Workstation 17.5. I prepare a lab for myself to practice the deployment. Mostly we set up these labs as replicas of our production servers to upgrade the version. In that case be aware as the IP's and DNS will be exactly the same and we need to route them to a different channel to avoid any impact on our production servers. Here are the steps: 1. Install OVA file for CUCM 12.5, it will create a VM with the specifications required to install CUCM. It will ask you to select the user size 1000, 2500 ets users and after that it will configure a VM for you. 2. Select the bootable ISO file and update the network adaptor settings(if doing it for production) When I downloaded the ISO file, it was non bootable, for this I found this video- https://lnkd.in/gzcstkqm 3. Make sure the network adaptor and CD/DVD drive connected. Now the procedure begins for you to set up the Call Manager. 4. It will ask to set up the static network configuration which includes host name, IP address, IP mask and gateway address. 5. DNS client configuration 6. Admin login configuration 7. Certificate information (Organisation, Unit, location, state and country) 8. It will if this one is the first server or not. If it's a publisher you need to configure NTP and security configuration. Security configuration - it is a password, which is required for subscribers to get attached with this publisher. 9. SMTP Configuration 10. Application user configuration - password you use to access OS Admin and console. The setup is not complete and it will verify network settings like NTP configurations. After you successfully complete the installation you'll be redirected to the CLI, to access the GUI interface make sure the Tomcat and Platform web services are started. #Cisco #CUCM #UnifiedCommunications #Deployment #Networking #ITInfrastructure #CiscoCollaboration
