Great article from Bren O'Brien outlining the paradoxical existence of Sports and Racing wagering. There is no doubt that the growth in Sports betting is a huge opportunity for racing. The article quotes “It may end up that sports ends up being the saviour of racing.” Whilst there is a large element of truth in that statement, Racing must focus on how best to engage with their customers in new ways, rather than relying on the sports betting tide taking them to salvation.
