Interesting insights into the key sports industry trends being observed in North America by my colleagues Ari Clark, CPA, Justin Krieger and Matthew Twomey, CPA, CFE. Many of these we are also observing in Europe, particularly in relation to Private Equity involvement, AI, data analytics and fan engagement, as well as growth in women's sports, which is becoming an increasing strategic priority for investors and (in my opinion) is long overdue.

❶ It's interesting to see their aggressive position in baseball and softball.
❷ By having access to all the athletes and partnering with Chernin - I expect them to push a lot of consumer products at their properties.
❸ Youth sports are still extremely fragmented and have lots of consolidation ahead of them.

America needs to nurture young sports enthusiasts.
Even if they don’t seek to become Pro’s, it’s the incredible engagement, atleticism, team building…and certainly long, long term friendships.
The competitive part of sports can be good and hostile.
So the sports team leadership plays a critical role here.
Then the parents and how they play a part. The economics can be a challenge. Where the parents want to see a rewarding result.
Then the psychology of it all.
But these youth sports systems do have a road map where everyone can get engaged and have a very positive experience.
May it become a win-win for all who get involved and engaged.
Time, and measured disciplines are so necessary and important.
