Another gem from Ant Murphy !! Key Takeaways: 1- Think of your strategic alignment as constellation of stars instead of ladder which means strategic alignment can happen multi-direction and not just bi-directional. 2- OKR doesn’t cascade. They must align to each other and have cohesion. 3- OKR doesn’t exist in vacuum 4- OKRs are a representation or model of your strategy. They are levers that you have strategically chosen to pull and you are going to then use to measure progress towards realizing your strategy We need to have this information in context that sits behind it so we can make informed decisions. 5- We need to consider both customer impacts and business impacts 6- We need to consider both leading and lagging indicators 7- We don’t have full control over OKR outcomes and hence they are not tied to people’s performance indicators #okr #strategy #productmanagement #agile #agilesoftwaredevelopment #agilecoaching #coaching #scrummaster #projectmanagement #management #leadership

Discussing your Objective and Key Results weekly is too frequent? 🚩 You're working on the wrong things... I recorded this video after one of our community was super frustrated after their OKR setting last week. They asked me what to do when the team think that weekly tracking is too much. They weren't expecting progress every week. If that's the case, the OKR is either not important or a todo list. In the video, I cover 6 tips to go from hating your weekly OKR checkins with your team to LOVING them... 1/ The Essentials of OKR Check-Ins: Understand what makes these meetings crucial and how to conduct them efficiently within your existing team meetings. 2/ Balancing Frequency and Focus: Learn how to determine the ideal frequency of your OKR reviews, whether weekly or bi-weekly, based on your team's rhythm. 3/ Streamlining for Impact: Find out how to simplify your OKRs to focus intensely on what truly drives forward momentum. 4/ Confidence as a Metric: Discover how to assess and use your team's confidence levels in your OKRs as a key indicator of potential success. 5/ Practical Tips for Integration: Gain insights on seamlessly integrating OKR check-ins into your regular workflows without adding to your meeting fatigue. 6/ Don't let ineffective check-ins hinder your team's progress. With the right approach to OKR check-ins, every step you take can be strategic, impactful, and aligned with your overarching goals. What have I missed? #OKR #ObjectivesandKeyResults #team #Leadership

🚀 Great session by Jürgen Suls Founder @ The Product Agency, on using OKRs in Product Management @ PR_D_CT DAY Key insights: 📈 OKRs signal issues like lack of focus, alignment, commitment, tracking, or ambition. ⚠️ Common pitfalls: OKRs are never perfect, and without strategy, they won’t work. Avoid over-complicating with details. ✅ Jurgens Advice: • Ensure accountability by assigning owners • Schedule regular check-ins • Embrace continuous improvement—iterate on your OKRs. • Remember, KPIs ≠ Key Results. KPIs are health checks, while KRs drive you toward a goal. #OKR #Leadership #Strategy #Product
