Super Easy-to-Understand CRM Acronym Dictionary for newbie B2B Sales Part 1 ABC: "Always Be Closing" is a phrase that shows the determination of sales to close the deal by "doing everything to close." It sounds good, but trying too hard can be excessive ABM: "Account-Based Marketing" is a method of approaching customers specifically, like a sniper. Sales identify specific target customers and approach them with the most personalized message for that customer AE: "Account Executive" is a sales position used extensively in the US. Note, this is a hunting position—focusing on finding new customers—not farming like AM AM: "Account Manager" is a sales team role in companies that sell services to customers, not products. AM in Vietnam often follows a business opportunity from the beginning until the project is deployed and implemented, while AM abroad only handles the post-sales step BANT: "Budget, Authority, Needs, Timeline" are four factors used in screening business opportunities. Specifically: "Budget," "Authority," "Need," and "Expected time of purchase." B2B: "Business to Business." This is a sales model that sells to other businesses; in other words, the business/company is the "customer." B2C: "Business to Consumer." In contrast to B2B, the customer in this model is the end consumer. In addition, there are many models such as B2A (agent), B2E (employee), B2B2C (combining both Business and Customer)… BD: "Business Development" is the team that creates leads (specifically MQL) and then transfers them to the AM or Sales team to close the deal. CDP: "Customer Data Platform" is an application that performs many functions related to customer data: gathering, cleaning, identifying, synthesizing portraits, grouping, interacting, and analyzing. The ability to collect anonymous customer data and connect it to identified data is a signature feature of CDP. CRM: "Customer Relationship Management" is an application that supports customer interactions, including three main pillars: Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service. Many companies in Vietnam still confuse CRM with Customer Service CX: "Customer Experience" — customer experience. CX implies a customer-centric approach, making customer experience a key factor D2C: "Direct to Consumer" means directly approaching customers who are end consumers. Instead of selling indirectly through distribution channels or partners, selling directly through e-commerce or showrooms is considered D2C. D2C is considered a shifting trend because it brings more data DMP: "Data Management Platform" is an application that records the behaviors and digital interactions in the internet environment of anonymous customers. Although DMP does NOT have identifying data, DMP is still on the decline due to many technical barriers in data collection DT or DX: "Digital Transformation" is a term that refers to the digital transformation trend.
