A few years ago, we were midway through a major project for a high-profile client. Everything was riding on this—our reputation, our growth, and frankly, our future. Then, out of nowhere, our lead developer left due to personal reasons. The timeline felt impossible. It was chaos. I remember sitting at my desk, staring at the project roadmap, thinking, "This might be it. We might not recover from this." But instead of panicking, we rallied. The team worked nights, we restructured roles, and I personally dove deep into the project, even coding alongside them. It was one of the toughest periods we've ever faced. And you know what? We delivered. On time. The project turned into one of our biggest successes and opened doors we never imagined. I realized something important during that time: resilience isn’t about avoiding challenges—it’s about thriving through them. What’s the moment in your journey where you almost gave up but pushed through anyway? #ResilienceWins #TeamworkMakesItHappen #NeverGiveUp

We've all been there. You start a new job and are eager to make a difference. Then, suddenly, you're faced with the difficult task of understanding an unfamiliar codebase. The project lead, confident in your abilities, suggests you take on a new feature. But when you dive into the code, you realize it's not as easy as it seems. The seasoned team members assume the code is straightforward, but the new hire is left wondering if they've started a different project altogether. The challenge isn't just adding the feature. It's figuring out where everything is and how it all fits together. This situation shows that onboarding new team members involves more than just giving them tasks. It's about guiding them through the code, sharing knowledge, and helping them get up to speed. Even the most talented developers need a map when navigating uncharted territory. Next time, let's make sure the new hire isn't just given the codebase but also the support they need to explore it effectively. Finding your way is the first step to making meaningful contributions. #Onboarding #NewHire #Codebase #DeveloperLife #TechChallenges #ProjectManagement #TeamSupport #CodingLife #SoftwareDevelopment #TechSarcasm

🚀 This morning, we kicked off another exciting Hackathon at Jane, and I can’t wait to see the results! Our Hackathons have consistently driven numerous product and technical enhancements. My team alone has averaged at least two successfully shipped projects per Hackathon recently, and we’re just one of over 20 teams at Jane. Multiply that by two Hackathons a year, and you get a sense of the immense value created for both customers and developers through self-guided work. Having participated in internal Hackathons at various companies, I can confidently say that Jane’s format is the most generous. It spans an entire week, with a kick-off on Monday and demos on Friday. You can pitch your own idea and recruit a team of co-workers, join another team, or go solo. Each Hackathon has a unique theme, and this time, it’s all about leveraging AI for productivity. However, developers are free to explore any project that could improve our products, rethink technical solutions, or simply learn something new by experimenting with the latest technologies. Sounds fun? Interested in joining Jane? We have several open positions for developers, including 4 intermediate, 2 senior, 4 staff, and even one senior staff developer role. Apply through our website: https://lnkd.in/gjNVxpVT #Hackathon #Innovation #AI #Productivity #Jane #DeveloperLife

As developers, we often pride ourselves on being able to solve complex problems and deliver exceptional results. But what happens when we bite off more than we can chew? I remember a time when I took on a project that was slightly beyond my experience at the time. I was confident I could handle it, but as I got deeper into the work, I realized I had underestimated the complexity. Rather than admitting it early, I pushed forward - spending countless late nights trying to make everything work. In the end, the project was delivered, but not without significant stress, a few missed deadlines, and a lot of compromises. Looking back, I wonder: - Was it better to take on the challenge and push myself, even at the cost of time and quality? - Should I have admitted earlier that I needed help or additional resources? - How do you find the balance between ambition and accountability? I'd love to hear from others - how do you handle situations where you've taken on more than you should have? When do you decide it's time to ask for help or adjust expectations?

Recently, one of our new clients asked me how fast we could take on a project. My answer is that if the decision is made quickly and the team is ready, we can start working on the project within 24 hours. This surprised him, as he had previously had a bad experience with another contractor who did not allow direct communication with developers. Also, the start of work was delayed and was always more than 3 days. I explained that at GetDevDone, we prioritize clear communication and swift action. Our clients always have direct access to the development team, ensuring smooth collaboration and transparency. With us, you won’t face unnecessary delays or miscommunication—we're ready to jump into your project and deliver quality results. 👥 Looking forward to the chance to work together on your future projects! #SwiftExecution #ClientTransparency #ProjectSuccess #GetDevDone
