Here are a few simple ideas to keep showing appreciation: Write a Thank You Card: Create a card or drawing to thank a veteran for their service. Learn Together: Read a story about veterans or learn about the different branches of the military with your Little Learner. Share a Smile: When you meet a veteran, remember to say thank you! This Veterans Day, we reflect on the significance of saying, "Thank you for your service," a phrase that has become a symbol of gratitude towards our armed forces since the late 1990s. While its origins remain somewhat unclear, it stands as a collective acknowledgment of the sacrifices made by military personnel. The impact of this expression varies among veterans, with some finding it meaningful while others believe it falls short of capturing the full extent of their experiences. Recognizing the complexity of gratitude is crucial, as it can resonate differently with each individual. To truly honor our veterans, we should seek more personalized ways to show appreciation. Engaging in heartfelt conversations, actively listening to their stories, and supporting veteran initiatives create deeper connections and understanding. These actions go beyond mere words, offering genuine recognition of their service and sacrifices. This Veterans Day, let's go beyond the conventional and strive to honor our veterans in ways that deeply resonate with them. Let's cultivate a culture of respect and appreciation that transcends mere phrases, embodying our genuine gratitude and support for those who have served. #VeteransDay #ThankYouForYourService #HonorOurHeroes #SupportOurVeterans #Gratitude #MilitaryService #SacrificeAndService #VeteranAppreciation #RememberAndHonor #UnitedWeStand

The confluence of relationships. This is what happens when people come together - they listen, talk, and relate over commonalities and experiences. Relationships are built. The military does this better than most. Throughout my career, I have watched many groups be in the same room, but rarely do I see engagement occur so fast than in the military and veteran community. I saw it again this past weekend. Veterans were sitting around talking and the Army showed up. Within minutes, they were engaged with the veterans. They know and understand that each person matters. The convergence of active service and veteran service merged into relating to each other. Relationships are the bridge between generations and differences. People are stronger together. Today on Veterans Day, follow the example of our veterans and active service members - Relate to each other! #VeteransDay #relationships #peoplematter

3 simple ways you can honor a veteran this Monday, on Veterans Day. 🇺🇸 🪖Veterans Day (Nov 11) is a time to recognize all U.S. military veterans—living or deceased—for their service. 🎖️While Memorial Day (last Monday in May) specifically honors those who died in service. This Monday, I encourage you to do 3 simple things to show your gratitude: 1. Recognize Acknowledge their service with a simple, heartfelt “Thank you for your service.” It goes a long way. 2. Inquire Show genuine interest by asking questions like, “What branch did you serve in?” or “What was your role?” People appreciate when others take the time to ask about their experience. 3. Listen This is the most important part. Give them the space and time to share their story, and really listen. If they want to talk, be there for them. Ask follow-up questions like, “What was one of your most memorable moments?” If a veteran is reluctant to share, that’s okay too—simply thank them for their service and respect their space. These small gestures can make a big impact. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope these tips help you connect with and honor the veterans in your life.

We get to sleep like a baby with little worry about our country being attacked. This little-appreciated fact is because of the sacrifices of military veterans. A quote from the Department Of Defense website: "Veterans Day honors all of those who have served the country in war or peace — dead or alive — although it’s largely intended to thank living veterans for their sacrifices." ► If you know a vet, reach out and express appreciation. ► Take a minute to connect meaningfully...not just "lip service". ► We have what we have in this country because of the sacrifices of veterans. +++++++++ Interested in a strategy for website content? DM me and let's talk about it.
