"Why did you choose to join Elsdon?" This is a question I am often asked when speaking to candidates. Here are a few reasons why I joined Elsdon and why I have stayed in the business. ✨ Culture: Throughout my time at Elsdon the culture has been unmatched, being surrounded by high performers can be super motivating. The team are welcoming, and very supportive towards each other while also allowing room for some healthy in house competition. We celebrate success with lunch clubs to some of the best restaurants Manchester has to offer and holiday incentives. 💕 Commission Structure: We have a great commission structure at Elsdon, with no threshold. We have a focus on the US market, meaning the average deal fee's are one of the highest. 💸 Progression Opportunities: We have genuine career progression opportunities at Elsdon, with room to grow in whatever direction you choice. For example I joined the business back in 2021 working in a 360 recruitment role. Now I am leading the internal recruitment and marketing within the business which is more inline with my career goals. Freedom: We work 4 days a week, and have the option to take WFH days. Do I need to explain why this is a massive benefit? If your working in recruitment, and interested in hearing about other opportunities drop me a message. 💕

🌟 Unlocking Opportunities! 🌟 Looking to discover incredible opportunities in your career? A renowned senior leadership advisor Conor Neill shares insightful tips on how to spot them. https://lnkd.in/edUkjjFX Here's the key: surround ourselves with others who can see opportunities for us. 🤝 They can be your friends, colleagues, or mentors. They are often those more experienced than you, so they see unpolished and unrefined gold when we don't see it (yet). Another seasoned leadership advisor and trainer, Kris Girrell, in our recent workshop, emphasized the importance of being ready to step out of your comfort zone and persist until you find your path. It's all about open for and able to listen to other opinions (coachability,) patience, and resilience. - In his words, being uncomfortable long enough to see the result. 💪 Share this with someone who needs a boost of encouragement and motivation from our amazing community. Let's support each other in reaching new heights! #CareerGrowth #Localization #Translation #ProfessionalDevelopment #Mentorship #OpportunityKnocks #LanguageIndustry

Stop judging people with "𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸" on their LinkedIn profile. 🚫 Being "𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸" doesn't mean "𝗜'𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲" or "𝗜'𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱." It simply means, "𝗜'𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻!" 💼💪 Let's support and uplift those who are proactively seeking their next big move. Everyone's career journey is unique, and being open to new opportunities is a sign of courage and readiness for growth. #hr #talentacquisition #hiring #sales #opentowork #nextopportunity #careergrowth #jobsearch #professionaldevelopment #nojudgment #careertransition #careeropportunities #growthmindset #supporteachother

Your alumni network is a goldmine. Job hunting is easier with someone who's been there. Think about it: → Alumni are where you want to be. → They know what it takes to get there. → Most want to help you succeed. Example: My junior, Pablo, was looking for a part-time remote job to balance with his full-time Chinese courses. Remote jobs in Taiwan are hard to find. He knew I had a remote job, so he asked for advice. Here’s what happened: → Pablo asked me to keep him in mind for any job openings. → We had an open marketing role, so I recommended him. → He applied, and my colleagues agreed he was a great fit. He’s now part of my team at Arc. My advice: Use your alumni network to your advantage. → Identify your target companies and roles. → Find alumni on LinkedIn. → Send a personalized message. You’ll be surprised by how many are happy to help. *** ♻ Share this with a friend who's after a remote job. 🔔 I'm Gina. I help job seekers land great remote jobs.

Are you just a number in your company? Someone I spoke to shared their experience of being moved around in internal teams in the same position for years, despite expressing interest in growth opportunities. They took on additional responsibilities above their title, believing they were "paying dues." Sadly, after years of loyalty, they were laid off without warning. This experience taught them a valuable lesson: they were just a number. Despite being good at their job, their company chose to keep them in the same position instead of investing in their growth. Unfortunately, this is a reality for many employees. So, if you're feeling stuck in your current role, don't be afraid to speak up and express your desire for growth opportunities. And if your company isn't willing to invest in your growth, don't be afraid to take your talents elsewhere. Remember, you are worth more than being a number. Is too much experience REALLY too much? I saw an interesting job posting for a senior sales role. Everything looked good except when the company specifically mentioned they DID NOT want the person to have more than 7 years of experience of sales. It wasn’t about comp or working remotely. It was experience. A reminder for those hiring: 🌟 An experienced person got to where they are today because they never stopped learning and growing. 🌟 An experienced person is curious about solving problems so they can gain more experience for the next challenge. 🌟 An experienced person is willing to take on more work to have a diverse career. 🌟 An experienced person has no fear in tackling sensitive issues. Can you explain to me again why too much experience is detrimental for a job? #alwaysbelearning #opentowork #thursdaythoughts #hiring #experiencematters
