It was an honor to be invited to present at the EMBO Inflammasome Workshop at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Munich. Our Chief Scientific Officer, Michael Crackower, presented our progress on the development of first-in-class caspase-4 inhibitors using our proprietary, biophysics-based and #machinelearning -enabled platform, ReSOLVE™. This is our first disclosure of our groundbreaking discovery of allosteric, selective, small-molecule caspase-4 inhibitors that are highly potent in vitro and in vivo and work via a previously undiscovered mechanism. The role of caspase-4 at the interface of bacterial components and the production of numerous cytokines makes this a highly compelling target for diseases of high unmet need like #InflammatoryBowelDisease, hidradenitis suppurative, and sepsis, where single cytokine inhibition has resulted in sub-optimal efficacy. Here’s our second abstract poster from the #SABCS2024: "Analytical Validity of the Digistain Test in the Face of Variable Fixation Times – A Study from Charing Cross Hospital". Tissue processing variations can impact #RNA integrity in PCR-based risk profiling tests, such as some #genomictests. To address this, we evaluated the robustness of the Digistain test across different fixation times. We’re proud to share that results from our molecular assay showed no statistical variability, confirming its reliability in clinical settings, positioning Digistain as a reliable tool for #breastcancer risk stratification in adjuvant therapy. Another advantage of ARCTis™ Human Tumor plates is the level of quality. By repeatedly producing the same thing my team knows exactly what to do and has gathered a ton of experience with it. For our productions there are SOPs in place that are followed step by step, checklists filled in, and so we ensure that each production is as good as the previous one. Of course, there is some biological variation that derives from the start material. However, by adhering strictly to the processes our input is negligible. In addition, we collaborate with external testing labs to guarantee that no contamination is present on the ARCTis™ plates nor on in the medium that comes with them. Plus, we run a quality control plate for each batch and check the aggregation behavior, growth and metabolic activity. In short, as long as a customer follows the instructions from our Quick Start Guide their results should be the same than ours. Have a look at the scans of the plates from a recent production for our Starter Pack. This is as good as it is technically possible.
