“I wish it were more broadly known what the private equity industry is really doing and how we are contributing to society, as this would be one way to attract a more diverse talent pool into the industry. It’s so much more than just transactions – it’s about value creation, growing people, and growing companies.” CapMan’s CEO, Pia Kåll, shared these thoughts in her interview for Invest Europe’s Leader Interviews series. Here are a few interview questions to ask leaders to sniff-out yellow/red-flag teams and employers: Tell me about a time when your team/department critically disagreed with a top-down decision. - What was the decision? - How did your team plan a response? - What data did your team present to refute/challenge the decision? - How long did it take your team to get prepared and organized enough to get in front of leadership to present their case? - What did those actions ultimately produce? Was the decision reversed? - Do you find that, in your corporate culture, critical dissension is a value-add, or something to keep quiet?
