Today at the Scottish FA we launched one of the largest campaigns in the associations history. Pitching In aims to raise £50million over the next 5 years with the money raised being put directly back into communities by enhancing and creating new football facilities. It is no secret that many football facilities in Scotland are in need of investment and in particular to make these inclusive for all especially the fastest growing area of the game girls and women’s football. The Revitalising Trusts project, a collaboration between OSCR and Foundation Scotland, has so far released over £5 million of dormant funds for public benefit since the project launched in 2021. The project has to date identified over 300 inactive charitable trusts of varying sizes and purposes, with forgotten funds often lying dormant in accounts for several decades and in some cases well over a century. The Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, a private trust in Geneva, Switzerland, owns Rolex. The foundation was established by Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, in 1944. Wilsdorf transferred all of his Rolex shares to the foundation in 1960. The foundation's board of directors guides Rolex's business strategy, but Rolex executives and watchmakers have full creative freedom. The foundation donates a large portion of its income to charity and social causes in Geneva, including healthcare, disaster relief, and programs that address poverty and inequality. Rolex's ownership structure is unique because it's a non-profit organization that's not owned by capitalist shareholders. As a result, Rolex doesn't pay corporate taxes and doesn't have to disclose financial or charitable donations
