Gratefulness never goes out of style. Kindness is attractive.
Eldercare-Senior Care Sales Solutions Academy-Marketing, Business Development, Sales Training, Coaching and Accountability-Offering Entrepreneurial Opportunity-Veteran
Just boarded flight back to San Diego. As I entered the plane there sat an Elder Veteran. He had his hat on. I said quietly, “thank you for your service.” He quietly said back, “thank you.” The line to seat was at a stand still so I remained in front of him. He looked at me and said, “Thank you. We really do appreciate it. It wasn’t like that when we came home.” Folks, I don’t care if it feels goofy or not…please be sure to express your gratitude to our Nation’s Veterans…especially our Elder Veterans. Clearly the one today experienced Vietnam. It doesn’t have to be a big deal. Just a simple quietly spoken thank you. We owe it to them.

3 simple ways you can honor a veteran this Monday, on Veterans Day. 🇺🇸 🪖Veterans Day (Nov 11) is a time to recognize all U.S. military veterans—living or deceased—for their service. 🎖️While Memorial Day (last Monday in May) specifically honors those who died in service. This Monday, I encourage you to do 3 simple things to show your gratitude: 1. Recognize Acknowledge their service with a simple, heartfelt “Thank you for your service.” It goes a long way. 2. Inquire Show genuine interest by asking questions like, “What branch did you serve in?” or “What was your role?” People appreciate when others take the time to ask about their experience. 3. Listen This is the most important part. Give them the space and time to share their story, and really listen. If they want to talk, be there for them. Ask follow-up questions like, “What was one of your most memorable moments?” If a veteran is reluctant to share, that’s okay too—simply thank them for their service and respect their space. These small gestures can make a big impact. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope these tips help you connect with and honor the veterans in your life.

We need to recruit corporations and job creators like Joby Aviation to our states. They are the future and have no other agenda but the future. Recruiting forward-thinking companies like Joby Aviation, which is working on innovations in electric air taxis, could indeed position states as leaders in future-focused industries. These companies bring high-quality jobs, stimulate economic growth, and often drive advancements in technology, infrastructure, and sustainability. By attracting businesses that prioritize innovation and future-oriented solutions, states can create hubs for cutting-edge industries, from green technology to advanced manufacturing. Supporting these companies can also inspire local educational institutions to build relevant programs, aligning workforce skills with industry needs. Plus, companies like Joby Aviation focus on green transportation, which aligns with broader sustainability goals and may attract talent interested in working on transformative, meaningful projects. To succeed in recruiting these job creators, states might consider offering incentives like tax breaks, grants for research and development, infrastructure improvements, and partnerships with local universities. By positioning themselves as supportive environments for innovation, states can drive economic growth in a way that aligns with a future-focused agenda that benefits both the business and the local community.
On Veterans Day, we express our gratitude every person who has served for their commitment and dedication to our nation — and in particular the many veterans who are part of the Joby team. Thank you for your service, and Happy Veterans Day!

Veterans Day: A Time for Respect, Not Judgment On Veterans Day, many Veterans find themselves feeling a mix of pride and discomfort. While the day is meant to honor those who served, not everyone feels respected or appreciated for their service. Society’s views on veterans can be complicated—ranging from genuine gratitude to indifference, and at times, outright judgment. Regardless of political affiliation, Veterans Day should be a time to come together and honor the sacrifices made by our military community. Service members come from all backgrounds and beliefs, united in a commitment to protect our nation. To my fellow veterans: Don’t be ashamed of your service. We know the courage and dedication it took to wear the uniform. Veterans Day is a reminder of our resilience and unity, no matter how society chooses to view us. Let’s honor each other with respect and pride, even if it doesn’t always come from outside. To everyone else, consider that respect and empathy go a long way. Veterans are more than their military roles—each has a unique story shaped by service, sacrifice, and an unwavering dedication to the values of our country.
