Kicking Off My L'Oréal Ignite Journey! I’m excited to begin my journey with the L'Oréal Ignite program! The first webinar, 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞 @ L'Oréal, was an eye-opener and provided valuable takeaways on how to thrive at L'Oréal: ✨ 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲: Being yourself is key to standing out and making an impact in your work and the team. ✨ 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧-𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝: L'Oréal encourages diverse perspectives, which fuel creativity and growth. There’s a place for everyone, regardless of their background. ✨ 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: Every task, no matter how small, contributes to growth. Being curious and proactive in learning is essential for success. One moment that stood out was Jimmy’s go-to mantra: “𝐿𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑑𝑜, 𝑑𝑜 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒.” It reminded me that passion is what transforms a job into a purpose. When you genuinely love what you do, it not only enhances your performance but also inspires everyone around you—something I hope to embody as I move forward in my career. The speakers' personal journeys profoundly inspired my career goals, particularly as someone from a tech background. Their experiences illustrated the integral role of 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 across various industries, including beauty and consumer goods. This event challenged my assumptions that '𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑒𝑥𝑐𝑙𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑦-𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑙𝑒𝑑𝑔𝑒', highlighting the value of 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and demonstrating how my technical expertise can contribute to creative, customer-centric innovations. This experience truly pushed me out of my comfort zone, encouraging me to rethink how I can integrate my skills into a business like L'Oréal. I’m excited to continue stepping outside the box and exploring uncharted territories in this journey! A big thanks to the amazing L'Oréal team: Jade Lui Alan Lau (He/Him) Eunice Lam Vicky Lau and MTs: Anna Yip Alex Bhisitkul Jimmy Li Chak Wang Nicholas Ng for sharing their experiences! Looking forward to the next session and what’s to come! #lorealignite #weareloreal #empowered #careergrowth #technology #marketing #futureofbeauty #upskilling #crossdisciplinary #lorealforyouth #innovation #management

My L'Oréal Ignite Journey: An Exciting Start ✨ Yesterday, I joined my first webinar and learned more about the MT life at L'Oréal. This event enhanced my understanding of the company’s culture and values. I gained a lot from the networking experience with L'Oréal experts who come from diverse backgrounds. It was inspiring to hear how they leveraged their knowledge and professional experiences to solve difficulties and challenges during their work. As a marketing student, this reminds me to explore different areas of knowledge and to be curious about various topics. Here are the three key takeaways from this online webinar: - Be who you are 🔥: Instead of trying to fit yourself into what a company likes, we should seek a company that truly suits our personality and passion. - The sense of humor 😗: Having humor is important; it can help resolve problems and disagreements related to tasks, as well as improve relationships within the team. - Show passion ❤️ : Love what you do and do what you love. When you are genuinely passionate about your work, it not only enhances your performance but also inspires those around you. Thanks, Jade Lui Alan Lau (He/Him) Eunice Lam Vicky Lau. Can’t Wait for the next workshop! #lorealIgnite #weareloreal #lorealforyouth #empowered #beautytech #futureofbeauty #careergrowth #upskilling

Congratulations to L'Oréal for launching the first campaign that inspires me to coin a new term: Greywashing 🙄 This celebration of Loreal’s latest NYT campaign has been flooding my LinkedIn feed. Really? Loreal has 13,000 employees aged 50+ when a quick ‘back of the envelope’ suggests they should have at least 23,000!? Why are we celebrating this abysmal failure of age representation? While I understand this looks like progress and I applaud Loreal’s support for older workers (especially as anti-ageing is their ‘raison d'être’) this represents such a very small positive step in the right direction. A quick Google shows Loreal has around 90K employees globally, which means workers 50+ are around 14% of their workforce. Around 26% of the global working population is aged 50-64. This is much higher in Europe (34%) where Loreal have a sizeable proportion of their workforce (40%). In other words, they SHOULD have nearly 13,000 workers over 50 in Europe alone! Apologies to Cindy Gallop (who I don’t know). Great share / comment by Cindy, but let's agree that this Loreal campaign has us celebrating a level of age representation that is well… la merde!
Now THAT's the kind of stat we LOVE to see! L'Oréal knows what drives great business, and that hiring, promoting, valuing and retaining older talent is more time- and cost-efficient, and therefore makes you more money 😍 #LiveOlder #SayYourAge PS Love to see the same stat for L'Oreal's ad agencies/ad agency holding companies.

🌟My FMCG Journey at L'Oréal 🌟 I am thrilled to share that I have joined L'Oréal this family as an igniter! As a leader in the beauty and cosmetics industry, L'Oréal's commitment to innovation inspires me every day. With over 40 iconic brands across 150 countries, it’s a vibrant community celebrating beauty in all its forms. Throughout my previous experience in financial institutions, family offices, tech startups, and NGOs, I’ve developed a profound understanding of financial markets and strategic investment. These experiences have sharpened my analytical skills and risk management abilities—key competencies that I am eager to bring to the FMCG sector. In the initial sessions, I’ve been captivated by L'Oréal's vibrant work culture and innovative rotary systems. They’re not merely discussing sustainability; they’re actively educating on the circularity of both financial and non-financial aspects within their supply chain. This deep commitment to making a tangible impact truly touches my heart! ---------------------------------------------------------- ✨Key Insight: Every Role Holds Value✨ I firmly believe that no task is too small; every single one is vital to our shared journey. Our experiences serve as essential building blocks, offering invaluable opportunities for growth and transformation. For example, a mere 1% improvement in operational efficiency can save a company with $10 billion in revenue around $100 million. This powerful insight highlights the significant influence of even the smallest contributions. By embracing each responsibility with a proactive spirit and a heartfelt dedication to continuous learning, I can turn routine tasks into meaningful actions that foster both my personal development and the organization’s success. Seizing every opportunity is essential, as our collective efforts can lead to extraordinary achievements. Together, we have the potential to create something truly remarkable! Lastly, thank you Chak Wang Nicholas Ng Anna Yip Alex Bhisitkul Jimmy Li for sharing invaluable insights, and Jade Lui Alan Lau (He/Him) Eunice Lam Vicky Lau for organizing this and upcoming events. #LOrealIgnite #WeAreLOreal #LOrealHongKong #LorealForYouth #Empowered #BeautyTech #CreateTheBeautyThatMovesTheWorld #CareerGrowth #Upskilling

My L'Oréal Ignite Journey This Month: A Webinar Full of Insights💡 I'm excited to kick off my L'Oréal Ignite journey by participating in the first webinar, Life as an MT @L'Oréal. This webinar gave me deeper insights into L'Oréal's culture and philosophy, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the MT program. I would like to share three key takeaways from the webinar: ⭐️ Be yourself, not who others want you to be. Everyone is unique with their own talents. The MT emphasized that there is no single ideal candidate for the company, so we shouldn't change ourselves based on societal norms or others' expectations. Instead, we should confidently embrace who we are and showcase our strengths. ⭐️ Your major doesn’t define your career path – step out of your comfort zone. Before hearing from the MTs, I assumed they all came from business backgrounds. Surprisingly, Nicholas’s story shows that students from various academic backgrounds can become MTs and apply their knowledge in the workplace. This reminded me not to be afraid of stepping into unfamiliar areas. ⭐️ Keep a growth mindset. The sharing inspired me to stay open to feedback and never stop learning, especially in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovation-driven work environment. Learn as much as you can, as knowledge is the master plan. Constant self-improvement and reflecting on feedback are key to successfully facing new challenges and seizing more opportunities. Additionally, MT Nicholas shared a quote from the founder: "A company is not walls and machines, it’s people, people, people.” This quote left a deep impression on me, making me realize how much L'Oréal values its employees and is committed to creating a diverse and supportive work environment. A huge thank you to the L'Oréal TA Team Jade Lui Alan Lau (He/Him) Eunice Lam Vicky Lau for organizing this insightful session and to all the MTs for sharing their valuable experiences and tips with us.💖 Looking forward to the upcoming events!✨ #lorealIgnite #weareloreal #lorealforyouth #empowered #beautytech #futureofbeauty #careergrowth #upskilling

Have you seen how L'Oréal stylishly showcases its products while sharing information about its innovations and challenges in 2024 in this content? I love it. It's storytelling at its finest, just brilliant. The emphasis on real results with real people (employees) makes the content authentic and relatable, which builds trust, and the team's spirit shines through. A lesson for brands in 2025: keep it simple, genuine, and impactful. Consumers appreciate feeling like they are part of your business rather than just being sold all the time.
