Great times with great people for opening week. Tons left to do, but we are psyched to finally open the Rushdown office.

Confetti cannons at the ready! 🎉🎈 Happy 3-year Employee Ownership Anniversary to US! 3 years ago, we decided to cross that Rubicon River & become 100% employee-owned; we haven't looked back since! The team's voices have never been more heard, and with employee ownership, we've experienced a host of benefits that have transformed Rubicon for the better. As Rubicon grows and prospers, so do the team as beneficiaries. Becoming EO has taken our core values & purpose to a whole new level. With ownership comes a united interest in the company's goals. We are all working towards the same objective to improve working lives, creating a cohesive & resilient team. As well as this, the team is encouraged to share ideas, feedback, and concerns, leading to better decision-making and increased transparency. 💬 Our team are not just employees... they're stakeholders in the company's success. ⭐ Last week, we celebrated this marvelous milestone at our quarterly company meeting over pizza, drinks & cake! We also unveiled our summer activity to the team 🌊 & we took time to reflect on our achievements during a highly successful Q1, setting the stage for continued excellence in the coming months. 🎄✨ Celebrating Our Amazing Contractors! ✨🎄 Tuesday night, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting our Contractor Appreciation Annual Christmas Gathering at Bar Down in Kincardine, Ontario. It was an incredible evening filled with laughter, great food, and festive cheer, as we celebrated the hard work and dedication of the talented individuals who make such a significant impact on our projects. At Morson Talent, we value the commitment and expertise our contractors bring to the table every day. It’s moments like these—where we can come together as a community—that remind us how important it is to recognize and appreciate the people behind the success. A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening so special. For those who couldn’t join us, know that your contributions don’t go unnoticed, and we’re so grateful to have you on our team. Here’s to wrapping up an amazing year and looking forward to an even brighter 2025! 🥂 #ContractorAppreciation #ChristmasGathering #Teamwork #Gratitude #MorsonTalent #KincardineOntario #PlacingPeopleFirst #MorsonTalent #PeopleFirst #EmpoweringCareers #TalentSolutions #FutureOfWork #PeoplePower #TalentForTomorrow #JobSuccess #CareerGrowth #YourCareerPartner #BuildingDreams #SupportingTalent #CareerAdvancement #HumanCentricHiring #WorkplaceExcellence #ConnectingTalent #WorkforceSupport #HumanFirst #WorkplaceInnovation

In August, our team spent the afternoon putting together kitchen sets for local families transitioning to housing stability through https://bridging.org/ Here is Bridging's motto: "When good people get together to do good things, then good things happen." I believe that saying whole heartedly. It is important to carve out time for team engagement activities and for fun:-) When's the last time you had fun with your team? I don't think I am alone in saying this, but it is a struggle to prioritize team building with so many competing work priorities. Even though it is a challenge, the investment is WORTH it! I am Grateful to have a team who is willing to not only participate, but also willing to plan and help ensure events like these happen. Practicing Bremer values in real time, collaboration and creativity! We had lots of fun (and a bit of competition too – not naming any names, but you know who you are: (wink, wink)😊 There are only have four months left in 2024 folks. Take time to be, do good and PLAY together. It makes a difference! #TeamEngagement #OneBremer #EmployeeEngagement

Building a Culture of Excellence: Insights from The Lottery Corporation Executive Assistants In June, something truly special unfolded as The Lottery Corporation Executive Assistants from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane came together for a Corporate Diversity Pathways EA Ways of Working Workshop Program. Over two days, we created joyful moments as the EAs dared to find a better way to nurture a culture of high performance rooted in inclusion, belonging, understanding, trust and mutual respect. The workshop was a celebration of the EAs’ shared commitment to The Lottery Corporation's values of personal excellence and collaborative success. They embraced their collective strengths while nurturing the uniqueness of each EA's role as a valued member of the diverse, inclusive high performing EA team culture. A standout moment was our keynote speaker, Simone Koolloos, whose journey from young entrepreneur to acclaimed Executive Assistant deeply resonated with the team. Simone's story of resilience, dedication and finding purpose as an EA in 2024 underscored the importance of trust, respect and understanding in our professional relationships. Simone reminded us that building a high-performing EA team isn’t solely about individual accomplishments, but about lifting each other up and inspiring innovative ways of working that support leaders, the organisation and the communities served. This workshop was a testament to The Lottery Corporation's commitment to in-person connection to support the EAs to foster a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion by investing in their personal and professional growth and experiencing a genuine sense of belonging. I am thrilled to see some organizations still value celebrating their employees meaningfully and genuinely and, more importantly, share the celebrations and accomplishments for all of us to see. Check on the inclusive celebrations and recognition Valley Health System posted during their recent Go LIVE of their new hospital. They departed from the obligatory ribbon-cutting photo op with a few leaders. Instead, they actively rounded throughout their move, capturing all their teams working together on their highly successful move and sharing the journey for all to see. 🏆 Break from the sterile monotony of online meetings and celebrate and socialize with your team and those you serve. "That is not in the budget" is an unacceptable excuse. As a Servant Leader, you are responsible for being a cheerleader and strong advocate for your team. Find the funds and be creative, inclusive, and generous, or you will spend your budget on the revolving door of recruiting and training new hires. #PauseAndCelebrate #Pride #PayitForward #FunAtWork #ServantLeader #RewardsAndRecognition
Gratitude: it’s a critical part of our culture here at Hartford HealthCare! • Our colleagues assembled at our System Support Office for some perfectly-prepared pizza from our friends at New Haven Pizza Truck, and incredible ice cream from our friends at Blue Chip Creamery - to celebrate all of the amazing work they do to transform healthcare and making the care experience better for our patients and our communities. ❤️ • Check out some sights and sounds of this remarkable afternoon, featuring one of our graduate administrative interns Cameron Morosky, and our President & CEO Jeffrey Flaks. • To all of our colleagues, we are truly grateful and inspired by your commitment to improve the health and healing of the communities we serve. • #HartfordHealthCare #Community #Social #ColleagueAppreciation #Colleagues #Connecticut

Now that RPM Office Appreciation Week 2024 has come to an end and I put this collage together, it makes me smile ... Seeing my team's excitement and anticipation for what each day offers, it's motivating and inspiring! We are encouraged and expected by our employer to take some time to celebrate our hard work and accomplishments together as a team! Stopping to have lunch together and play silly games or receiving our favorite coffee or taco... It's not about the smoothie or the pizza, it's the thoughts that are put into the week that count. It's about feeling the appreciation for all that your team does, and most importantly to me - it's about watching how those little things can help build morale and positivity amongst the office team - which spreads on to the maintenance team, residents, vendors, and ultimately into their personal lives! .... Wow Thank you RPM for acknowledging the front line and allowing us the time to celebrate our wins with each other! Showing your appreciation was a wonderful way to spend our work week! It added more value than may be known! I am beyond proud of the office team we have! I am grateful to work for a company that allows me to build my team based on our vision and goals for the property. Hiring people smarter than me is always helpful! 😁 They are success and results driven and have done great things over the past 90 days! I am proud and grateful for them everyday! As leaders, we are only as great and ultimately successful as our team we hire and invest in! We strive to hire the best and want to keep them happy and motivated! I acknowledge them often! They are recognized for their wins and supported by us as Community Managers, but it's amazing to watch how much positivity and value it brings to an onsite team member when they are recognized from our upper leadership! To all my Corporate leaders, remember how powerful your "good job" can be for our onsite staff! It's incredible the difference y'all can make! So the next time you reply to an email recognizing a small or big win or to say thank you, please try to include the team or the team member who helped contribute to the win! It'll leave a lasting impression on them about you and the company they work for! #officeappreciationweek #RPMliving #werekindaabigdeal #gratitude

This week marks six months since I stepped out of Hospitality and into retail. Whilst there are certain elements I miss, the work-life balance I’ve found with Waitrose & Partners is vastly improved. 37.5 hour working week | Ability to compress hours into 4 days | Alternate Saturdays | 1 in 4 Sundays | No expectation to work EVERY Bank Holiday | Comparable Salary It has certainly been a lot to learn, (and still learning all the time) and at times challenging; however a decade in Hospitality, certainly helps with that(!) If COVID has taught us anything, it’s that the Work-Life balance we all strive for, has certainly been reweighted; and the Hospitality industry, which has seen millions of workers leave, could certainly rebuild some loyalty if they took heed of some of the above. Hi everyone! Mark Maxfield here, CEO of The Cottages Assisted Living & Memory Care. Those who work for me know that culture is one of the most important things to me for my company. I hired a company President a little over a year ago, which has allowed me to work on the growth and culture of my company. Culture is often what you see, hear, and feel when you walk into your place of business. For me it would be one of our assisted living communities. Recently we had all of our community summer BBQs. I was able to go to ten of them and they were fantastic. I’ve been very impressed with how many people from our other communities showed up to help their sister communities. They assisted with preparing the meals, setting up decorations, and cleaning up. It involved a lot of work. So, my message for you leaders this month is, are you fostering an environment in your culture where people feel comfortable helping other people do their jobs? That means you have to be ok with cross training and cross supporting, so that people don’t feel siloed and like it’s a competition. It shouldn’t feel like a competition. Instead, it should feel like, this is our team. This is our company. How can we help each other to be successful? That’s one thing that I’ve noticed that is really improving in our company. I’m so proud of that and great job everyone! As a leader that is something you can look forward to as well. Making sure that everyone feels safe so that they feel like they can help everyone. In so doing, your entire company will be successful. See you next time. #cottagespride #assistedliving #longtermcare #seniorliving #seniorcare #seniors #healthcare #improvelives #deliverqualitycare #caregiveroftheyear
