Balancing family life and work is indeed a challenge, but what if bravery in both is less about being fearless and more about showing love? Bravery at work and at home isn’t about being a superhero. It’s about juggling the chaos, taking risks, and showing up with heart. At least is how I see it. As Kelly Corrigan reminds us on this Ted talk, bravery means taking risks not just for ourselves, but for the people we care about. This is something we can see happening at work and in our personal lives. Whether it’s helping ignite that spark on your colleagues at work or finding your spark to read that bedtime story with best enthusiasm to your kid after a long day of work, bravery is everywhere. As Winston Churchill said, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." Absolutely! When bravery feels like love, whether at home or work, life becomes an adventure worth navigating. I'm in! What’s your secret to juggling work and family without dropping the ball? Balancing work and life — challenge accepted or work in progress? I roll with it a sign along, doesn't matter what song, Macarena by Los del Rio or The Power of Yet! by Gabby's Dollhouse. My little one loves it! #bravery #worklifebalance #familyandcareer https://lnkd.in/dKS8HUAH

Translating this go practice would suggest that listening is a key component to caring for your patients. I find half the battle with compliance is showing care, concern, and empathy. The other half is a combination of empowering and educating. Challenges that other psych professionals lament, such as benzo demands, are often remedied by educating and empowering my patients. Yes, you can conquer anxiety. Yes, you can have a quality life after trauma. I will listen. I will educate. I will offer options. I will treat you like I would want my family members to be treated.

Meow 🐱 I'm still celebrating the awesomeness of cats, even though World Cat Day was on August 8th! Looking back, I realize how much these furry friends have impacted my life. One special lady cat, in particular, played a huge role in getting me through tough times, especially during the COVID pandemic. She was my rock, my comfort, and my constant companion. read my mind, always knowing when I needed a cuddle or a quiet moment. Sadly, she left us earlier in 2023, even though she's no longer with me, her memory and the lessons she taught me remain close to my heart. Just like cats, I embrace my independent spirit, thriving on doing my own thing. While some might find cats’ unpredictable nature quirky, I believe that’s where the magic happens! After all, creativity often flourishes in the unexpected. I’m always eager to chase new ideas and adventures, fueled by that same curiosity that leads cats to explore the unknown. Of course, I’ve got my playful side too! Whether it’s engaging in lighthearted banter or brainstorming sessions, I love to let my inner kitten out to play. But when it’s time to focus, I channel my inner hunter. Like a cat zeroed in on its prey, I bring relentless determination to every task I tackle. So here’s to celebrating the uniqueness of our feline friends and the creativity that comes from embracing unpredictability. Happy World Cat Day, fellow cat lovers! 😺 #WorldCatDay #CatPerson #PersonalityTraits #IndependentSpirit #CuriousNature #Creativity #Playfulness #FocusedHunter
