If like me you have a child who is waiting on their GCSE results today, just remember it does not define them, good or bad. Everyone is good at something. I have no problem admitting that I did not hit my academic stride until after my degree. My GCSE results were not good, my A-levels slightly worse. My first degree could be described as a jolly, but not much more. When I decided that I could do better I went on to do a Master's which I actually did well in. Ironically, the subject area of both of my degree's play no part in what I do now. I am not saying there was no value in them, just not in the way I expected. I now in conjunction with my co-founder run a business and am very happy. So remember the important lessons in life are what you learn from, failure, success, mistakes. Help build resilience, be supportive. I always believe as long as you give you best and are satisfied with that then you are on the right path. #GCSE #resilience
