Last year, biotech was designated a critical technology by the EU, marking a massive step towards the European sector's goal of becoming a global leader. How can we maintain this momentum? This article from EuropaBio has some sound suggestions. What stuck out to me most was their call for a holistic approach to legislation. Piecemeal legislation isn't exactly conducive to an attractive R&D environment and creates a reactive regulatory system. Taking a holistic approach is key to helping the sector mature and grow. #Biotechnology #Innovation #Criticaltechnology #BiotechLegislation
