To be the global leader in golf course management. 2023 $12,500,000 Annual Revenue $15,100,000 Annual Expenses Questions: 1. What the hell is the PGA of America spending $148,000,000 each year on, other than expenses to operate the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup? 2. Why are the other two organizations operating just fine with 1/10 of the revenue the PGA of America has? 3. Are the compensation packages of PGA of America Members increasing faster than members of the other 2 organizations or the rate of inflation? 4. Is it time to dismantle the PGA of America and start over again? 5. Are the PGA of America Members the biggest sucker's in the USA by letting their organization get hijacked by bureaucrats?

Ideally PGA of America Members would receive the $70 million in profits from the PGA Championship and Ryder Cup. Ideally PGA of America Members would cheer on all PGA of America elected officials, administrators and staff for ideas and actions that increased the profits of the PGA of America. (Presently there is no interest because it has no affects on the lives of PGA of America Members) Ideally PGA of America Members would grow the game in their communities and local golf facilities. Creating custom programs for their unique environments based on their knowledge and experience of their facilities and communities. Ideally the PGA of America Headquarters would offer all national educational programs online to lower the costs for PGA of America Members. Ideally all in person educational programs would be done by sections to keep the costs of education down. Ideally PGA of America Headquarters would shine the spotlight and accolades on PGA of America Members and not on PGA of America elected officials, administrators and staff. Ideally PGA of America awards criteria would be guided by tangible metrics. Ideally all PGA of America Members would be able to vote for the President, Vice President, and Secretary through electronic ballot. Ideally all PGA of America Members would be able to vote electronically on any capital projects exceeding $1 million. Any other ideal dreams out there to help guide the thoughts and actions of the PGA of America elected officials, administrators and staff? Without an ideal vision the PGA of America Headquarters will keep spending the $70 million on the latest "Grow the Game" program and state they are serving PGA of America Members, same tune different year.

Once a crusty and enclosed elite order to one of the most powerful organisations in golf. But what’s behind the R&A’s meddling with the business of Irish golf? Revenue for one, and secondly, some welcome intervention for Golf Ireland as the organisation faces an unprecedented split across the amateur and grassroots game. And what are Ireland’s golf clubs doing to fight back?

I've been doing some new and very interesting things relevant to planning, housing, land, data, and golf! Combining multiple professional and personal interests with Custodian Golf and uncovering some extremely useful and valuable data (as well as the odd bit of shocking data)
How we play Golf is changing. Alasdair Rae comments "gone are the days when one could easily spend six or seven hours on the course. Today’s busy schedules mean fewer people can commit to a full day of golf." 🏌️♂️ This shift is impacting clubs across Great Britain, particularly in the post-pandemic landscape. With varying membership costs and accessibility, attracting younger and more diverse members is becoming increasingly crucial. ⛳ At Custodian Golf, we’re diving deep into the data to understand these trends and help clubs adapt. Our latest research uncovers some surprising insights about the current state of golf memberships and the steps clubs need to take to secure their future. Curious about the full picture? The PGA Tour University (PGA Tour U) is a ranking system created by the PGA Tour to identify and support top collegiate golfers as they transition into the professional game. It’s designed to reward consistent high-level performance during NCAA Division I competition, as well as select elite amateur events. Being one of the top 25 ranked (like current #25 and Konnect member Luke Sample) players is significant because it provides enhanced opportunities to jumpstart a professional career. The top five players at season’s end earn Korn Ferry Tour membership, granting them immediate access to a pathway toward the PGA Tour. Those ranked 6-25 secure status on other PGA Tour-affiliated circuits, such as PGA Tour Canada or PGA Tour Latinoamérica, which helps them gain competitive experience, accumulate Official World Golf Ranking points, and potentially advance more rapidly to higher-level tours. As the 25th ranked player in PGA Tour University, if he can hold on to that slot, Luke would earn membership on PGA TOUR Americas, ensuring opportunities to compete professionally right out of college. Additionally, he would receive an exemption into the first stage of PGA TOUR Q-School, giving him a structured path toward advancing to higher-level tours like the Korn Ferry Tour and potentially the PGA Tour. The ranking's crucial cutoff comes at the conclusion of the NCAA Division 1 Men's National Championship, typically held in late May or early June. Go Luke!
