Flights booked for the last lap of our projects on the East Coast… 7 days… 8 Places… and a fair to fierce amount of executive function collapse from deep and meaningful conversations with deep and meaningful leaders in the Regen Places Network So why all the fuss?? Because in our work, the project isn’t really the project, the people are the project, and the projects are activating infrastructure to help us gather around and learn to learn together, love together, with each other, and the living world Why is this important?? What could be more important in an uncertain future than to build resilience through community connection, through a community of communities in connection and collaboration around shared understandings of place and each other Who is community?? Not just the local hippy greeny weirdos who want to chain themselves to trees so your grandchildren will be able to breath, but the entire community from baker to banker, preacher to publican, and Indigenous Elder to local politician But Michael… aren’t you just colonising places with regen as the next white wave of do-goodery this place has seen over 236 years?? Not a chance, regenerative development isn’t a thing or a system that you implement but a process of enquiry and discovery into what is real in place. It’s lifting up the hood of place and shining light on what lives there under the bonnet of this modern world. Its reaching into the engine bay and reminding all inside that they are not cogs and belts in a machine but living breathing sparks of genius that the world is at a loss if not aloud to flourish in their own essence It’s a process of soaking into the ground to nourish the life deep in the soul to grow and rise up into the light And I get the chance to grow in my own unique potential while activating people and places to reach theirs What’s not to love about that Next Steps… Almost 12 places and projects to kick off 2025 with a bang for the rolling documentary work, Regen Places Network fund raise, Story of Place program raise, individual project investment raise across property, business, infrastructure, and education Not long left of the year… but what is a year but an endless dance of the sun trying to warm the moon #regeneration #regenerativedevelopment #regenerativeagriculture #regenerativetourism #regenerativeenterprise #regenerativegathering #regenerativerealestate #affordablehousing #placebasedcapital #regenerativewealth #communitydevelopment #communitylandtrust https://lnkd.in/gFF2ANAd https://lnkd.in/gvsBW-CH

Proactive’s Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts’ of the latest news from American Rare Earths Limited (ASX:ARR, OTCQB:ARRNF). The company has announced that its subsidiary, Wyoming Rare USA Inc., has secured a facility at the Western Research Institute (WRI) in Laramie, Wyoming. The announcement follows the company’s receipt of a USD $7.1 million grant from the State of Wyoming to support rare earth processing. The WRI facility will serve as a centralised hub, housing drill core and assay samples and accommodating a future pilot plant to test and develop processing technologies. Great overview of the challenges that utilities face in actually determining what services are made of lead (or galvanized steel), so they can be replaced. Many do not have accurate records of service material type from years ago. Our field work so far has shown that a lot of lead service locations can pretty random due to the work that has been done over the years either by the utility or the homeowner. Timothy Preager gives a great overview of our technology and how it works. We're getting a lot of questions about finding galvanized steel services as well, and yes, the same approach works very well to find them.
Fantastic overview of the lead pipe location challenge in Ohio (and elsewhere!) and the Cleveland Water Alliance program which has empowered innovators like Solinas Technologies to solve it - https://lnkd.in/giwfuAgn

In this short video clip of “Live With Sondra” our CEO, Sondra Shannon, and special guest, Shawn Kidd, talks about how continuous improvement is better than perfect. “My goal is continuous improvement. We just keep getting better than where we are today. If I set a goal that’s something akin to: ‘we want to be perfect at this,’ then we’re failing all the time. We’re never there and I don’t want that dissatisfaction.” — Shawn Kidd Let’s start a conversation. 🎊 We've closed a loan to Solar Holler! 🎊 Solar Holler does the hard but noble work of maintaining West Virginia’s importance to the energy industry by investing in clean, renewable, solar power while employing dozens of unionized electricians. Afterglow’s loan will support Solar Holler in equipping Appalachian libraries, public schools, and municipal buildings with efficient solar systems that will reduce energy bills. Candide Group’s Afterglow Climate Justice Fund is a discretionary debt vehicle that finances climate projects serving underinvested LMI communities. https://lnkd.in/g4Sz7dxx James Pippim Neal Parikh Aner Ben-Ami #climatejustice #greenbanks #communityreinvestment #solar #solarforall #afterglow #acjf #cra #afterglowclimatejustice #candide #impinv #letsgettowork #lmi #communityreinvestment Disclosures: Follow this link to view our social media disclosures: https://t.co/eL8LVBnJU4 To see the last 12 months of recommendations, please email ops@candidegroup.com with your request. Dydia DeLyser, Professor of Geography, California State, Fullerton, talks about significance of neon signs in transforming the American landscape and their role in community building. Dydia & her husband, Paul Greenstein, dive deeper on the history neon lights on their website. “One of the things that neon signs really do is act geographically. They work to attract, to draw people into them. And what that means is that they create community. They create community underneath their light.” - Dydia DeLyser https://lnkd.in/g4yeP674
