As a mompreneur, every day is a juggling act—even weekends. One moment, I’m on a call discussing business strategy or sending out a pitch email, and the next, I’m changing diapers or bathing a toddler. My life revolves around feeding schedules, wake windows, school runs, and business meetings. It’s not easy—especially without a nanny, a norm for many in the UAE—but I’m proud of how far I’ve come in staying present, no matter the context. Today was one of my best days “on the job”—and I don’t mean just business. I served the best interests of my shareholders, partners, and customers, while also meeting my baby’s needs. And the cherry on top? I managed to carve out some time for self-care too. How? By being in an environment designed to empower working moms. The Hood, a new community center for mothers, creates a space where women can work, learn, and connect, with their babies cared for on-site by professional caregivers. My day started at a Mamahood App educational event, where I promoted PeriCare’s 3-in-1 diaper bags. Then, I joined a therapeutic painting workshop by Studio 24, connecting with other inspiring moms. I wrapped up with a business meeting with a potential partner—all while my daughter was in the loving hands of Nannies & More. And here’s a proud moment: I fed my baby in the dedicated nursing room designed by PeriCare—proof that creating mom-friendly spaces can make all the difference. I’ve never really subscribed to the idea of “work-life balance.” For me, work is an integral part of life—it’s not something you clock in and out of. But having the right environment allows me to wear all my hats seamlessly, effortlessly, and most importantly, guilt-free.
