We think this is timely as Australian research has shown that one of the primary causes of leadership burnout is “a lack of self-compassion”. This is because, when we can’t properly reflect on and reframe our challenges and failures, that really impacts negatively on our resilience. Do you beat yourself up when you get something wrong and carry that burden with you? Or can you unpack it, understand it, learn from it and bounce back? If the latter, it sounds like you are practising self-compassion which is great.
