Financial sustainability was also a key focus, with discussions around developing economic models for long-term viability through diverse funding and revenue streams. How can cities approach Smart City systems to become climate-neutral? 🌍 In our recent webinar hosted in collaboration with UCLG-MEWA, we explored the pivotal role that Smart City solutions play in transforming urban environments into sustainable and climate-neutral landscapes. Our Smart City Expert, Melike Nur Ülsever, had the opportunity to share our experiences from BABLE Smart Cities on how to approach Smart City systems and the importance of neutral information sharing for cities. Access to neutral information is crucial, especially with the 2030 climate neutrality goal approaching. As part of my 55+ years of EPC Nuclear Projects/DATABASE Experience I have: - Hands-on Experience on many Nuclear Power Plants. - Visited many as part of Special Assignments, Support related to the PRUDENCE Investigations of Nuclear Power Plants. - Conducted Field Walk-Downs on some plants as part of Assessment of Overall Project Progress. The above covered Nuclear Power Plants in various Stages of Construction (From Excavation to Systems/Buildings Turn-Over) Opinion I have never seen anything close to the Complex/Swarming/Congested Hinkley Point C Construction Site- An Example: Number/Size of various Cranes/Lift-offs; Peak Craftsmen of 12,000; Accommodation and Support/Transport Facilities; etc.! I am almost tempted to characterize the above Nuclear Site as "One of a Kind" in the Nuclear Industry. Btw: Seems I am beginning to get a somewhat better understanding of the current Estimated Capital Cost of whopping 46 billion BPs.!! #DATABASE(1970-2024)
