A New Chapter in My Advocacy Journey What does it mean to truly stand for something? For me, it means learning, unlearning, and arming myself with knowledge that has the power to drive change. On October 8, 2023, I proudly completed the Human Rights 101 course with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) . It was a profound journey into the heart of humanity’s most fundamental principles. I explored the pillars of dignity, equality, and justice, uncovering how these values shape lives and societies. This certificate is more than just a recognition of my effort; it’s a responsibility. It’s a call to use this knowledge to amplify the voices of the voiceless, to advocate for the marginalized, and to challenge systems that deny anyone their basic rights. Through this learning, I am reminded of the power of action, whether it’s standing up against injustice, educating others, or simply listening to those whose stories often go unheard. To those reading this: let’s not wait for someone else to fix the world. Each of us has the capacity to make a difference, no matter how small the step. Juneteenth is not only a celebration of freedom but a poignant reminder of the enduring impact of slavery and segregation on our communities.  Despite progress, the legacies of these injustices persist in the form of racial disparities in housing, education, healthcare, and employment. In this article, Professor Nicolás Brando, from the University of Liverpool, presents his book "Childhood in Liberal Theory: Equality, Difference, and Children’s Rights". Brando critically examines how liberal theories of justice often fail to uphold principles of equality and freedom when applied to children. He proposes an "Adaptive model," advocating for individualized treatment based on specific circumstances rather than broad categorizations of childhood. This work contributes significantly to political theory by challenging traditional views on children’s rights and justice. More than 20 years of collective knowledge on education in the field of diversity management through minority rights - adopted by the Advisory Committee in May 2024 and launched on 17 October 2024.

Involving children and young people is more than just having them as passive participants. It is empowering them to speak, to be heard and to take action. It is engaging them in dialogue, actively listening to their input, and taking their opinions seriously. Our aim is to empower children to have their say, work together with others, and make a difference in their communities. With children around the world facing infringement of their basic rights on multiple fronts, discussions at the GNRC Sixth Forum will center on building a Safe, Secure, and Sustainable world for and with children, under the theme 'The Child is Calling: Interfaith Cooperation to Build a Hopeful World for Children'.
