Most agree that in an ideal world, Brisbane would have a new, high capacity oval stadium that would see out the century. Trouble is no government is bold enough to pay for it. But does the public purse have to cough up for it? Has anyone considered a PPP model involving a greenfield stadium and the demolition and redevelopment of the Gabba site? For public housing perhaps? Time for the innovators to step up.

Modular housing development has long been a fringe part of the U.S. market. Now, the country’s largest apartment operator is trying to change that. Greystar Real Estate Partners on Monday is opening a six-building modular apartment complex, complete with a gym, amphitheater and bocce courts. It is Greystar’s first U.S. project assembled using this alternative construction method, aiming to combat the chronic delays of traditional developments.

TudorMay has secured a contract to install the drylining on an award-winning scheme in London. Regent's View, an under-construction gasworks regeneration project in Bethnal Green, includes five cylindrical buildings, with two placed inside the restored gasholder frames. These buildings will provide 555 private and affordable homes and over 45,000sqft of commercial and community space.
