Post-Diwali AQI Trends in Major Indian Cities: 2019–2023 🎆 As #Diwali lights up the skies, there’s another trend that’s been growing – the Air Quality Index (#AQI) the day after the festivities. Here’s a comparison of post-Diwali AQI levels from 2019 to 2023 across major cities. Key Insights: - #COVID Impact: 2020 showed a notable dip in AQI levels across many cities due to pandemic restrictions. Bengaluru, for example, saw a significant improvement, dropping to an AQI of 58. - Bounce Back: As restrictions eased, AQI levels climbed again in 2021 and beyond, with cities like Pune and Chennai recording sharp increases post-2020. - The #Delhi Effect: Delhi continues to grapple with severe AQI levels post-Diwali, with the highest numbers consistently observed across the years, peaking in 2021 at a staggering 462. - Mixed Recovery: While some cities like Kolkata and Hyderabad show fluctuations, the 2023 data indicates a general rise in AQI levels across cities like Pune (262) and Chennai (245). Diwali brings joy, but this data reminds us of the environmental impact that follows. At GeoIQ, we use location intelligence to analyze real-time data and help decision-makers make informed choices for a #sustainable business. #Diwali2024 #AQITrends #EnvironmentalImpact #AirQuality #LocationData #GeoIQ #CleanAir #DataDriven #SmartCities #Sustainability #retailgrowth

In the last 10 days, I spent some quality time in Jaipur & Ahmedabad - meeting some very interesting early-stage Founders and investors. Well, they're also two of the hottest cities in India during the summer months. ☀️ While I'm not usually complaining about the heat, this time it was different. In fact, some days were recorded as all time highs & we're only in mid-April! The ever-increasing heat has an adverse impact on folks around me, especially those spending (even some) time outdoors. In Jaipur & Ahmedabad, the average temperature for April 2024 is 38°C & 42°C, with the highest at 45°C & 43°C respectively (It's only April!!). ♨️ These numbers are higher than usual & higher temperatures require higher precaution. If you're either in these cities or cities with similar temperatures, stay hydrated! 💧 PS - I'm posting this as I pack my bags to spend the week in Delhi, here's to braving the heat! #Summer #April2024 #Heat #Temperature #India

120 years ago. J.R.D. Tata, born on July 29, 1904, was a visionary leader who left an indelible mark on India's industrial landscape. He passionately believed in the potential of India and its people, constantly striving to build a nation that could stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's best. His feelings for India were deeply rooted in a desire to see the country prosper, innovate, and improve the quality of life for all its citizens. J.R.D. Tata's contributions were not limited to business alone. He was instrumental in pioneering civil aviation in India, establishing Tata Airlines, which later became Air India. His vision extended to various sectors, including steel, automobiles, power, and hospitality, shaping India's economic and industrial growth. If J.R.D. Tata were to witness the current India, he would likely experience a mix of pride and concern. On the one hand, he would be proud of the strides India has made in technology, infrastructure, and global influence. The rise of Indian startups, the growth of the IT sector, and the country's achievements in space exploration would undoubtedly resonate with his spirit of innovation and excellence. However, J.R.D. Tata would also be concerned about the challenges that persist. The issues of economic inequality, environmental degradation, and the need for inclusive growth would likely weigh heavily on his mind. He always emphasized the importance of social responsibility, ethical governance, and sustainable development. The gaps in these areas would remind him of the ongoing work needed to fulfill his dream of a just and prosperous India. J.R.D. Tata's feelings for India were characterized by a relentless pursuit of progress and a deep commitment to societal well-being. As we remember his legacy, we are reminded of the values he stood for—integrity, excellence, and a vision for a better India. His life and work continue to inspire generations to build on his foundations and strive for an India that truly embodies his ideals. #JRDTata #TataGroup #IndianIndustry #VisionaryLeader #IndianAviation #AirIndia #IndianEntrepreneur #EconomicDevelopment #IndustrialPioneer #TataLegacy #InnovationInIndia #SustainableGrowth #IndianBusinessHistory #CorporatePhilanthropy #JRDsVision
