It's #FractionalFriday and today's request for #Fractional work is about the ability to see the whole elephant. That's what Enterprise Architecture gives you. Everyone in the organisation has a different idea about the enterprise. They see things how they are trained to see things. Which is good for their specialism and their department but means none of them see the elephant. Enterprise Architecture is different. The training is to see the elephant and describe it as a whole. Which in turn gives executive management a way to see the elephant instead of just hearing all the shouts about parts of it. Which means they can get it to charge into its markets like never before. I show organisations how to adopt genuine Enterprise Architecture so they can win. The big question is, will I show your organisation or your competition? If you want your organisation to build a genuine Enterprise Architecture team so you can win, you know where to find me.
Although full-time initiatives are possible for me, preference is given to ad hoc work. Per the title of my book on architecture and strategy, I want you and your organisation to win. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1738421902 (How many other consultants can hand you a book to prove they know what they're talking about?) Usually work in the South East of England but open to work abroad. Obviously, remote work is possible for anyone. If you want an hour, a day, a month or more, you know where to find me.
Why do I keep posting these requests for Fractional work? Because I need some work. At the beginning of the year, a previously reliable customer strung me along for months then left me with zero income for the year. My usual rate is £1250 + VAT a day but right now I'd cheerfully take half that and even give serious consideration if you knocked the one off the front. If I don't get something soon, I'll have to go flip burgers or something. Which seems like a waste of an architect and strategist. What can you do to help? Obviously, some work would be good — even a day or two. Or please consider reposting so others with some work might see this 🫡
