What a way to wrap up three weeks of business travel throughout Europe! I met with many amazing internal and external partners, visited five countries, four of which were first-time visits, and I celebrated my one-year anniversary with MilliporeSigma (Merck Group). I even got to have a reunion with a special former partner, Dagmar Schubert over dinner as it was a very short detour. I've learned so much, I don't even know where to begin. It has been quite a year. Last year, when I made the decision to embark on a new adventure, I didn't know what to expect and the unknown frightened me but excited me at the same time. I wasn't sure if I could do as well at a larger organization (imposter syndrome) and I remained consistent in the following ways to prepare myself for my new endeavor: - Communication: I communicated the responsibilities and assignments I was looking for to utilize and develop my skill set, as well as to keep me on my career road map. Thankfully, my leadership listened and took action. - Curiosity: I was open to live feedback, new experiences, new learnings, and the challenges (known and unknown). Thankfully, my curiosity didn't kill me. - Conscious development: I came into my role and new company with a 30/60/90 day plan and a road map. Thankfully, it wasn't deemed "too soon" for me to have a plan. - Networking: To be successful, I knew I had to know who my people resources were. Thankfully, everyone was willing to share their time and expertise! - Impact: I sought to make an impact wherever I was. Thankfully, the impact was measurable and visible. - Leadership: I sought to lead from where I was. Thankfully, it didn't come off as "bossy." To top off my Euro tour and one-year anniversary, I was nominated and accepted into Merck's High Potential Employee 2024 Cohort. I'm excited to explore the learning and networking opportunities this program brings in the year ahead. Now, I look forward to going home and spending quality time with my husband, daughter, and four-legged babies.

Closing a Chapter, Embracing New Opportunities In August, I wrapped up my journey with Pfizer (Seagen), marking the end of an extraordinary chapter in my career. I feel incredibly privileged to have been part of the Seagen story and family—a place where I truly held my dream job. My deepest gratitude goes to Marjorie Green and Christina Derleth for making that dream a reality. It was an honor to serve and collaborate with Seagen’s Clinical Scientists—you know who you are, and you’re nothing short of amazing! Seagen was a shining example of what it looks like when an entire organization is unified around a shared goal: revolutionizing therapy for oncology patients. To me, Seagen will always embody Kindness, Ambition, Innovation, and a Growth Mindset—values that defined its culture and mission. Following  the merger with Pfizer, I was fortunate to lead a team of 20 outstanding clinical scientists. I cherished the opportunity to grow alongside them and learn from their brilliance. In recent months, I’ve shifted my focus toward health, wellbeing, and family. I’ve rediscovered my early passion for pottery, spending as much time as possible in the studio. I’ve also had the joy of reconnecting with friends and family in Sweden, while caring for my wonderful geriatric cat and dog  alongside my supportive husband and partner Peter Nyberg here in California. Additionally, I’ve deepened my coaching skills by taking courses, preparing for the next phase of my professional journey. As I look to the future, I’m not quite ready to declare my next steps but am eager to connect. Whether it’s coaching, consulting, or exploring new opportunities in biotech and pharma, I’m excited to contribute to your growing organization. My passion lies in helping organizations thrive while prioritizing psychological safety, health, and wellbeing for their teams. Some weeks are tougher than others. On Tuesday, we announced organizational adjustments that will impact up to 250 skilled colleagues at LEO Pharma, primarily in Denmark. This means that now and in the coming weeks, we will see many valued colleagues depart. I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition for everyone affected by Tuesday’s news. At LEO Pharma, we will do our outmost to provide dedicated support to departing colleagues in finding new career opportunities. I have personally reached out to some peers, as we have seen positive effects from such collaborations in the past. Why are we doing this? It is crucial to understand that our transformation has one primary purpose: to make LEO Pharma a financially sustainable company. The choices we constantly make about where to invest, how to look at the organizational setup, what inefficiencies we have, and how to optimize the cost base are all long-term decisions to secure the company's future. To all impacted employees: I want to express my heartfelt thanks for all your efforts in getting us this far.

It was only days after I had started my new role at Merck when I discovered the vision project — a journey that has kept my wonderful colleague Myriam Chikirou, our teams, and me busy for the following months. Being responsible for communication and engagement, we rallied our teams and geared up for the global roll-out of our new company vision across 60+ countries and in 10 languages. Today, I am happy to share Merck Group's new company vision: “Sparking Discovery, Elevating Humanity.” This is a crucial milestone for Merck, providing our organization with a unifying vision and direction that will guide us into the next decade. And it is not just a tagline — it is our commitment to making a meaningful impact on millions of lives through the power of science and technology. For me this vision is truly motivating because it inspires us as an organization to innovate relentlessly, knowing that our work has the potential to make life brighter, healthier and more sustainable for millions of people worldwide. Another year and another happy birthday to MoreThanNow – it’s hard to believe, but we’re 8 years old this week! I always get a bit of a lump in my throat when it comes around. The founding idea was simple – to bring science to the workplace – and in many ways it’s the most obvious idea in the world: Every day, we conduct millions of 1:1 meetings, ask millions of people to set goals, evaluate millions of people’s performance and job suitability, run millions of team meetings. But how much do we know about how to improve experiences like these? Not as much as we should given their huge influence on our working lives. MoreThanNow's job is to change this one hypothesis and one experiment at a time, collaborating with academic teams at every opportunity. For me, it’s a big enough mission for a lifetime’s work :) As another anniversary comes by, please join me in celebrating our wonderful team, our amazing academic collaborators, our pioneering partners, and everyone who supports and advocates for us along the way.
