Please watch this video to understand how to keep you and your loved ones safe from rip currents.
Had a chance to talk rip currents with ABC News this week. There was an uptick in drownings toward the end of June, which makes me worried about the holiday weekend. Please be cautious as you head to the beach. Swim near a lifeguard if at all possible, and learn about rip currents and what to do if caught in one - visit weather.gov/ripcurrent for more. https://lnkd.in/ekK4SVcJ

In our fast-paced, information-saturated world, it's crucial to take time for gratitude as it slows us down to recognize the small miracles occurring all around, enhances mental well-being, and helps us appreciate the positive contributions of others who make a difference. For instance, consider the tireless efforts of the hospital teams, first responders, various agencies (county, state, and federal), and myriads of other organizations—who dedicate their lives to serving humanity during this and the previous hurricane events. Most importantly, they are a reminder to us that we are not alone in our struggles and that there are people and entities willing to lend a helping hand. My ask: 1. Set aside a few minutes today to reflect on what you appreciate and are grateful for. Try it again tomorrow. 2. Express your thanks to someone for their efforts—small gestures can have significant impacts. I’m proud of our teams, of the community, and of all the good we’ve seen in these last few weeks amidst the chaos and challenges of life. Let us remember to highlight the good and nurture a culture of gratitude, especially in difficult situations. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
